Yes, *hugs* from me too.

One of the most common pieces of advice I've heard from cops (both in print/online and in person when we had a spate of thefts at a library where I was working) is, NEVER try to be a hero and "catch" the culprit. As the officer dropping by my workplace put it, "As far as thieves are concerned, you're not a human being; you're an obstacle. And they will do whatever they can to remove that obstacle."

I still think that the laptop info found by the FBI will doom Cyndi somehow. That agent was stunned when she found it, remember?
Thanks.

First post.

Can't hold it back anymore. This story arc has me hooked like no other. I love the ones with Cyndi's personality type... in fiction. Great drama.

She's not gushing, thankfully, I'd be incredibly more worried if she was.... I think she might feel/believe she has killed herself. There is a big risk of going into shock, but the officer is there now... he'll tend to her, right? She needs water, just sips, and to stay awake and calm until the shock wears off. Panic could kill her.

Please, please tell me the motivation someone would have for robbing a library.

Ok so I've been a long time reader but first time poster. I just had to weigh in on this arc, is it just me or could it be that the FBI might have people watching all these houses (Charlottes', Michelles', etc.) because they think Cyndi might be coming after them? Maybe they have had suspicions about Cyndi all this time and the laptop is just the proof they needed. I know it sounds a bit farfetched but it would be quite the twist. Plus it would be the redemption Charlotte needs.

You know, even if Cyndi's spiel WAS overheard, she's still got the self-defense card to play. As far as her actions against Charlotte are concerned, Cyndi might legally be in the clear.

The "send Duane down to join you" + contents of her laptop might be substantial enough to build a separate case, but it's still awfully dicey.

Stealing computers and bags, mostly. Depending on what library we're talking (for instance, campus library) thieves can make out like gangbusters.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. By "spate of thefts" I meant not that people were coming up to the desk and demanding our overdue-fine money (like that'd be worth doing), but rather that patrons were reporting their belongings stolen at a higher than usual rate. It's one of the U of Toronto libraries, very high-traffic, and if you leave your backpack, cellphone, etc. unattended for even a minute you're taking a risk.

So here's the thing: We can't get too technical about our assumptions on amount of blood loss, what was cut, what's medically accurate, etc. etc. Keep in mind, this is a comic and thus a drawn representation of what is happening from someone else's imagination. Campell, I can't speak for you, but I think I feel safe in assuming that you are not a medical professional. She cut across the street not down the road, and that could possibly mean something, but when we start getting into medical jargon of what's happening, I think we're taking it a little too far.

That being said, there are inferred possibilities: The FBI Agent was told to not do exactly what he just did without good cause. That means that he probably heard or saw something. It would be silly and illogical for him to listen in at a wall as opposed to a door, methinks, and Cyndi's villain monologue I think is gonna confuse him, but it's nothing 100% damning. Cyndi will get off free, or at the worst get a psych evaluation.

For nerds like me, consider Cyndi to be the Achilles from Orson Scott Card's Shadows series (A side story from the Ender's Game stuff). A brilliant sociopath. Only thing is, there is no real Bean in this story. Dun dun DUNNNNNNN!!! Dramatic prairie dog!

I actually took the time to do a video break down of this arc and I think I really do a good job of showing where things intersect and what's the most likely thing to happen here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwGFalTRHDA

Adding onto my previous post, the most recent comic(s) are, of course, not a part of the video breakdown, but it's up to date as of Monday's.

First post too, haha.

Well, since this arc started with Sara being filled in, maybe that means that Penny and Aggie know, which would mean that the FBI guy heard Cyndi?
