[8 Jul 2012] Landmines are hilarious

Postby Alice Macher » Sun Jul 08, 2012 9:06 pm

As Marshall would say, "Humour's good. Means no serious brain damage."

The question, of course, is whether Michael's wisecrack counts as humour.

Whelp, looks like he actually did it. So much for the hope that it was a disturbing fantasy moment.

Depends... I guess it's if one still counts a bad joke as a joke. By the way, great minds think alike... I was about to post a thread with the same name.

Landmines could be hilarious - if filled with whipped cream. Bad Ronnie, fleeing the scene of the crime is a piece of evidence that can be used against you even more than hitting the guy. *facepalm*

In non-punch related stuff, it looks like Bob is the one who found the body.

And how much stiffer is Hank's mom gonna get without an undertaker handy?

Or the reason he got punched in the first place. People have died over puns.

Well this confirms that this wasn't just Ronnie letting his imagination run wild and it's the same day as the parents' visit since Hank is preoccupied with his Mom.

Okay, it's been a while since I had first-aid training in high school phys. ed., so...can anyone explain why Hank's monitoring Michael's pulse when Michael is at least reasonably conscious?

Go ask Alice; I think she'll know.

Well it wouldn't be a dramatic exit if he stuck around. And there's extra points if he left with a good one liner.

Overly cautious? He had Bob call 911 for a bit of a punch when he doesn't need anything but a hankie and an ice pack.

And, awww, I was hoping for fisticuffs, not a hit and run. :(

But oh my goodness, worried!professional!Hank! Be still my shallow heart. *swoons*

Y'know, if Ronnie had just given Michael a black eye or something, well, that's the kind of thing that can be smoothed over. But loss of consciousness can be a much bigger deal, the kind of thing that can involve a hospital visit. I guess the big question is, how far will Michael take this?

Arguably, he should've asked the standard "person, place, time and event" questions first, yes. But despite Michael, as I noted, being able to wisecrack, he looks woozy, and there's still the possibility he could lose consciousness (or lose it again...hard to tell here whether he'd been completely out and is just now coming to). So a 911 call doesn't hurt, and could very well help.

But yes, Hank should also be treating him for bleeding.

You do hear horror stories about people dying later as a result of internal bleeding from untreated concussions.

So he should get him an internal band-aid? (I'm hilarious.)

well he could choke on the blood from the bloody nose. while he could die from the internal bleeding from a concussion, thats extremly rare and there is probley nothing anyone could do anyway.
And then where would you be? apart from in a box, that's the bit I don't like, frankly
