Wild guess: this flashback is in black-and-white to reflect how Iseul is feeling about her life at the time. If the flashback continues, it will turn to colour when she meets Elizabeth. That would explain the ambiguous reply from T when I asked about the lack of color in the flashback compared with the one Sara had during the Descartes battle.

If Theo hadn't already alluded in this strip to their both having met Elizabeth already, I'd be picturing a monochromatic Iseul, when she lays eyes on Elizabeth for the first time, seeing her in full colour as the nude Venus from that Botticelli painting.

The hair colour matches. I think you may be on to something here.

The more glimpses we see of Theo, the more complex his characterization seems. There are some surface things about him that would easily make me not like him: well-off investment broker, probably into high risks, as he sees the chaotic market as "fun," and probably really into weight-lifting. Those features could easily mark him as a Wall Street type douchebag.

And he's been on safari, several times! Whether this involving shooting big game is unknown.

Haha! Yeah, I considered mentioning that fact for the douchebag list, but chose not to simply because, as you said, it's unclear if he is hunting on these trips. If Theo is indeed a big game hunter, you can definitely add another tick next to type-A douchebag.

Of course, the real question is after bagging his elephant, did he leave it there figuring they'd find it sooner or later, or have arrangements made so that it would be delivered to them? If it's the first, douchebag status. If it's the second, then not so much.
