I don't have anything to say yet, I just really like starting the thread.

And the 180 from Ronnie appears: Marie wants to communicate but can't easily.

I'm also interested in how this relates to Undefined sexuality as the QUILTBAG definition goes.

The question is, did she empty them all in the last month? Or does she just like to collect pretty glass bottles and they're symbolic of something else? (My mom likes glass bottles and I have a few of my own, so I don't always jump on the 'must be an alcoholic' train. Especially since they're so neatly arranged, and not strewn about, hidden, or thrown away.)

What you don't see is the human organs inside them.

:(

I know the us-characters aren't actually us, but I was also a depressed poet with a drinking problem when I was a freshman in college, so this is hitting pretty close to home.

Adri gives new meaning to the term 'ship in a bottle'.

I wanna see the visual poems. Squiggles aren't helpful in figuring out what's going on here.

Seconded. I am fully intrigued by the visual poems. I'm not creative enough to have a theory about what that means.

On the one hand, T used the sixpack in Jack's room in P&A to throw us a fake in similar circumstances. On the other, maybe he's expecting the reader to assume there's a hidden reson for the bottles? Hmmm.

There are only a few characters that could put away that much booze in a month (Aubrey Chorde, Hazel Tellington, etc.) and their tolerance for liquor is played for laughs. I think it's just decorations and since Michael doesn't drink and has no frame of reference he's jumping to the conclusion that she's an alcoholic.
