But this is QUILTBAG. The base rates for non-modal sexuality are going to be far higher than normal, making odd speculations less unreasonable. And Marie is fictional and T's character, whoever she might have been inspired by in real life; there's no real person to be directly insulted by the speculation. So.

I would like to point out just one more time that not once have I gotten upset about the fact that people speculate whether characters are trans in this comic, no matter who they happen to be based on. I do get very upset, however, when that speculation is phrased in such a way that manages to be offensive both to trans and cis women for reasons that many people have already outlined.

For my part, I'm curious as to what Alex's deal will be if he reappears. Well, we know he's bi and doesn't like what he ordered the first evening in the cafeteria. I mean what else his deal will be. I'm hoping for secret alchemist whose experiments go awry and overturn the laws of physics on campus.

He made a belt of gender change to help Chrissie. Something went wrong while testing it and he hasn't found a way to take it off yet.

He accidentally (as in "didn't mean to reveal that -yet-") gave it away on the Facebook page. It was basically "Lisa, it's good that you're not stalking him, but crushing on a gay guy isn't that healthy..."

@Otaking: Isn't that kinda... profiling a bit? I mean, shouldn't a guy be able to wear what he wants without it being an indication of his sexuality? Unless he's got a big rainbow shirt that says "I LIKE MANMEAT" in big letters, in which case, yeah, big indicator, but, baring his midriff? (-drift? How does one spell that, anyway?) It sounds kinda close to "that miniskirt must mean she's promiscuous" or "she has MANLEGS, she must have been born male".
