A chugged beer on an empty stomach, and the first one? Yeah, that hits the top pretty fast. And beer is beer, and beer is usually bitter, and not at all like much of anything else supposed to be tasty.

When I've heard it used "vetted" usually refers to a process by which one is accepted into a group. Given the context I was assuming "vetted as an adult" but I'm not really confident in that reading.

i just don't think i've ever seen anyone flip their shit like that, even people who hate beer. it's to the point of being unrealistic.
