Holy cow and sheep, Alexandra's case is..
....what. How so? WHY ?

Is German's gender policy that......blocked? I mean, are transgenders prohibited or forbidden there? What about changing genders? Why (from what I'd seen) she didn't receive any psychological backings?

It's sad.

And certainly pales Jenna's victory. :(
The way I see it, this isn't a either/or case like how the writer of the article Freemage gave described it to be; In an ideal world, both Jenna and Alexandra should have to be able to be herself. They should have protection to be what they want D: Under what form is another layer entirely.

And thinking about how many cases like this gets hushed / ignored....

I have it on authority from someone in Germany that a lot of the English Language sources are really screwed up on the translation and set up. It isn't quite as bad as it sounds.
There was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, and when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad she was homicidal.
I am a lizard woman from the dawn of time, and this is my wife.

I do hope so. I wouldn't think of Germany as .... backwards, as this news seemed to paint them as.

I have heard the same, but never gotten a solid explanation of what the facts of the case actually are; I'd really appreciate it if someone could turn that up.
