Bringing this back to ponies quickly to say one thing:
This is the show where the second season opener had JOHN DeLANCIE voicing the villian. Not the famous oboist. THE ACTOR. WHO PLAYS Q. Lauren Faust herself even said that the character he voices, Discord, was based on the character Q from Star Trek. I can see no possible reason why this would be a bad thing, except for the fact that he probably won't show up again, or not in a long while if he does. This is also the show that's not afraid to throw in references to adult movies (the Big Lebowski ponies in the blowling alley come to mind) and to popular TV shoes (I give you at least four variants of Dr. Who...or should I say Dr. Whooves?) But mostly it's just awesome that they got John DeLancie to voice a character. All they need now is Patrick Stewart to voice someone and say "Make it so" for my Star Trek: TNG nerdgasm to be complete. Or perhaps Brent Spiner. Or Johnathan Frakes. Or Mirina Sirtis. Or Wil Wheaton. Wearing a kilt. :3
[size=50<.< I really, really, really, REALLY like Star Trek: TNG and Q in particular. Sorry for the spazzing.
Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
