Omar is clearly christening the Good Ship Omarqa. Remember, he likes 'em thick.

He'll shoot for Susan and Yun-Sung, but he's hooking up with Tharqa by night's end.

It seems a bit weird for 3 of the 4 characters highlighted when Brandi makes her comment about bigots at the school to be Yun-Sung (not at the school and unlikely to be a bigot), Susan (not at the school, and gay to boot) and Omar (who Brandi slept with and didn't come across as a bigot, just a bit of a sleaze, unless I forget something). OK, Tharqa, yes, but it's still a weird way to backdrop Brandi's comments.

Agreed. It's a really weird (and vaguely unfortunate) way to frame the scene. (I'd intended to say something to that effect in my first post, but padded by putting it after the compliment and side comment, then forgot. )

Yeah it would work better if Bob and possibly Elmer were there.

Of course Charlotte being absent from this plot convenient scene might be a clue that she could be there and has made peace with those she hurt.

I'd still like to know what happened to her. I was hoping Duane would mention it.

I say that Stan ended up having a lot more of an effect on her than either of them realized, or she realized that sometimes it's not a bad thing to accomplish two things at once.

I think it's actually the opposite -- Brandi is acknowledging friendships/relationships that could detract from her media career because they're important to her. So, yes, she is doing two things at once, but one of those things is kind of the opposite of Stan-dom.

The difference is that Brandi isn't really doing it for her own personal gain, though, outside of any pleasure she personally derives from making the "bigots, trolls, and wastes of flesh" uncomfortable.

Her second line to Brian was 'learn from your boyfriend'. She then goes on to imply she's known Brian's boyfriend longer than she has Brian. Brian is protective of Fred.

Even without the inherent contrivance of a fictional world, that makes the chance that Fred's the boyfriend in question pretty high. With the inherent contrivance, it makes it pretty much 100%, especially as it was introduced in the coda.
