Resistance is -- (7/22/11)

Poor Bellhop. Looks like he rehearsed a speech.

Seeing as how Vermith went willingly into the light this may complicate things for the Hand more than AEGIS. It would seem that Vemith is genuinely repentant for what he did so the Hand might have problems making him out to be as bad as they claim. Unless he hid the money well he doesn't look like he profited from the supposed shady deals.

I'm not convinced yet that he did hide money. This could all be fabricated by the HoJ.
Admittedly, that would be a risky move on their part.

Timeline has probably already been altered.
He was supposed to have hidden the money, instead he might've poured it all into charities/orphanages in order to help deal with his sense of guilt. And the only money he actually has, is his salary as the local padre.

Wouldn't that be egg on the face of the HoJ.

Vermith looks very old here. Also, nice choice of Bible passages.

Um, unless I miss something the HoJ don't know anything about the future. They're aliens, not time-travelers.

Well, aside from him being downtrodden from his past and all, he IS a fair amount older than our heroes. Rikk and the gang were in their early 20s when they took down, which puts Vermith at least 10 years older than them, most likely more.

Meant because of General Penny and crew, that the original timeline got altered/split.
The HoJ may have picked some stuff up, like the money stash, they just didn't have all the particulars.
Hence why the whole gather enough support to supplant Aegis thing isn't going to fly.
Things have already been altered too much for that to occur.

Wasn't he campaigning to be PotUS?
That would mean he'd be at least 35.

Yeah. I don't know exactly how old the others were- Shanna was 26, but I'm guessing that Rikk at least was more like 22- He's probably a good 15 years older than them at the minimum.

Just asked T. Vermith was in his fifties when we met him, and is in his sixties now.

So it took an entire superhero team to bring a 60-something year old preacher to "justice"?

Wow. Aim high, cuckoos.
