Penny and Aggie haven't yet ironed everything out, definitely. Perhaps they never will. Which doesn't necessarily mean the end of their relationship; it could be that they'll decide they can live with a certain amount of uncertainty or ambiguity in how they relate to each other. Ele was right the other day in pointing out that their relationship has always been a push/pull dynamic, and it's one that, for all its risks, they genuinely seem to enjoy.

I'd reserved judgement on the previous strip, for that reason. Seems to me the current update bears out that line of thinking. We shall see.

I'm going to express my disappointment in little words.

Maybe i'm just being really whiny and immature about this whole thing but again, this is borderline fanfiction. To me, it looks like just an experiment for them both. I don't understand it. I don't see the romance or the chemistry between them. I feel like the only person who thinks so. smh

In all seriousness, I think this is the first time Penny's actually even THOUGHT about what she enjoys in bed, given that her time with Rich hardly involved deep thoughts. It's probably a bit traumatic for someone who thinks of themselves as not being able to be dominated like that even for small stretches to admit they enjoyed it.

This. I think she may also be struggling with the speed at which things moved. I mean, Rich had to go through a near-death experience to get her to surrender her pride (and even then, it was her idea), and Aggie drags her from second base to home in the span of an afternoon. Maybe she's worried she gave up the challenge too easily.

You're not. I feel exactly the same way. The two of them together come across to me like... a spatula and an orange stuck together. They just don't make sense. Everything since their first kiss seems like a weird dream or bad fanfic, yes. And there's other people who also feel like the A/P relationship seems to lack chemistry and drive as well, even if not as strongly.

So, here is something that's been confusing me: why always LOVER? Why not "girlfriend"? They've started having sex and yet Aggie still doesn't seem to want to admit that they're in a "relationship." What's that about?

It looks like P/A are going to burn bright and then burn out. I hope I'm wrong.

I DO have to disagree with this, though. The strip could only be less softcore if Jack Valenti had ghostwritten it for T. The characters may be nude, but there's no actual nudity as a person raised on the MPAA ratings would expect from T's warning, down to the incredibly awkward positioning of Aggie in the last three panels to cover naughty bits. There's less going on in this strip than it would seem.

My two cents: Penny is a bit upset that Aggie went more aggressive for their first time. Penny was expecting it to be "softer" with Aggie. Penny was, perhaps, looking more forward to that than Aggie thinks. Which leads Penny to question what exactly Aggie thinks of her.
