The real question, Jo, is why do you care?

Indeed. Speaking of invested, someone seems a bit too invested in ZZ's pants for someone who has a boyfriend of her own already. At least until he finds out that she's practically stalking ZZ.

Wondering how much time has passed if Zach can be this ripped. If he's obsessed then it's probably not that long since he flirted with Jo, but even then it was just flirting and nothing else since then. That certainly wasn't much of a pickup routine with Bonnie.

It can't be TOO short if it's supposed to be semi-realistic. Overtraining his muscles, especially when starting from scratch, would only lead to him straining the tissue too much and would not lead to any results at all - in fact, if he overdid it, he'd be worse off than before. I'm guessing a few weeks, maybe a month or two?

It also takes a certain amount of time to apply to a reality show and fail at the audition.

Is the 5th panel a reference/callback to anything?

Not specifically. The fedora is a feature of two notable Ditko characters, but that's already been covered.
