If Rumy would entertain using the sider to save Rikk then Shanna might not have to look long to find the betrayer. Right now she seems most likely to do something rash.

I guess Di is supposed to prevent Rumy from doing something terrible? That would seem to be the upshot of her and Bax's conversation.

I'm still trying to figure out why Di would feel the need to send herself a cryptic message. I mean if she knows enough about the situation to make a cryptic message about it, then why not make a straightforward message instead?

Plot device is confusing and smells bad. :x
