I suppose being late and walking in on Grigori with another woman might be too obvious. That being the said it might not be what seems like an inevitable breakup that sets Helen off two days later.

I'm thinking Helen finds out why Grigori wasn't there, and THAT'S what sets her off.

I'm thinking he isn't just hanging around this "Cass" for just the grass.
