Go ask Alice; I think she'll know.

Now I think of it, I believe T's said somewhat different things at different points about their sexual orientations. There was one point, while the "Out Front" arc was running, where T made an offhand comment about both girls having "bisexual leanings." (Offhand, because it was part of a mini-discussion of the "Depraved Bisexual" trope.) And several people in the forum seized upon this as a definitive Word of T statement, which it may well have been at the time, about a year and a half before "The Last Summer of Youth."

But once the latter mega-arc was well underway--possibly as late as during "Six Septembers Later"; I'm not able to pin it down exactly--I recall T saying that Aggie was Penny's one exception to her otherwise straight orientation, whereas Aggie, while mostly gay, was more attracted to men than Penny was toward women. Which would mean that Marshall wasn't, strictly speaking, her sole exception as Aggie herself has been for Penny. But probably best if we let T clear that up, should he wish to. He may, I suspect, wish to avoid classifying either of the main characters definitively. Note that he's never said definitively what, say, Stan's orientation is, either.

This gibes almost entirely with my recollections, except that I do recall saying that Marshall was Aggie's major "exception." Aggie's more attracted to guys than Penny is to girls, but she's also much less inclined than Penny to go on a casual date, flirt or otherwise explore possibilities if she doesn't feel something big for the person. (Which means that she was friends first with her significant others in college.) The exception to that trend was Darren, and the Darren experience just left Aggie more convinced than before that being casual wasn't worth her time. Penny had half-a-dozen guys eating out of her hand through most of high school (as alluded to briefly in "The Ticket," "Drama Queens" and "Whispers and Silence"), with no really active interest in any of them. If she liked girls more, then in the cosmopolitan atmosphere of college she might've directed more attention their way.

So, yeah, Aggie would be happy to drool right along with Lisa at half the scenes in Thor, but she wouldn't really consider that she's had significant male significant others, except for Marshall. Darren was either a dalliance or a mistake.

Maybe she's not a fan of Tom Hiddleston? I mean, dude gives a Stan vibe over there.
