Nationality?
U.S.

Race?
Not a chance, when I race I make snails look like NASCAR drivers

Gender?
Male

Age?
Over 29

Favorite book?
Read too many and too varied to choose one

Favorite movie?
Batman Forever, Shrek, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, The Lion King

Favorite Sci-Fi universe?
DC Comics universe...

Favorite non-fiction book?
Too many read from too varied genres to pick one single book...

What is your dream job? (doesn't have to be real)
and Emergency Management Director...an unsung hero who has one of the toughest jobs around

If you were a pro wrestler, what you be your intro music?
Enter Sandman by Metalica

Philosophy on love?
Don't lie, be yourself, and if it wasn't meant to be it wasn't meant to be.

If you were a world leader your major concern would be?
Clean water and enough food for all

Which will happen first: regeneration or cybernetic implants for lost appendages?
regeneration...the science is closer to reality than fantasy than we realize

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Both. One is meant to be a multiple year political/military epic while the other was meant to be a three-trilogy space western epic.

Your thoughts on the military?
Criticise the people telling them what to do, not the folks who have to follow the oders. Wars are started by politicians, but fought by the soldiers.

Favourite beverage?
Coffee, preferably iced with cream and sugar

Favourite alcoholic beverage?
Never felt the urge to drink much...maybe the Seagram's wine coolers line

Favourite food?
fried chicken and cheese pizza

Biggest fear?
annoying people and pissing them off...

Greatest moment?
the first time one of my pictures was published to a webpage

Best concert?
Three Doors Down in 2000 at a free concert in Boston right as their single "Krytonite" started to hit it big.

Nationality?
Texan.

Race?
Too lazy to run.

Gender?
Male

Age?
Just turned 39 last month.

Favorite book?
Neuromancer by William Gibson. Or The Gernsback Continuum if it counts, but it's only a short story.

Favorite movie?
Tough call. Pump Up the Volume probably had the largest influence on me as a kid, but Waking Life fills that slot now.

Favorite Sci-Fi universe?
Shadowrun.

Favorite non-fiction book?
Ideas and Opinions by Einstein, though honestly I hardly remember anything in it.

What is your dream job? (doesn't have to be real)
Pan-dimensional bosonic string musician.

If you were a pro wrestler, what you be your intro music?
"More Human Than Human"" by Rob Zombie.

Philosophy on love?
It means you suck at tennis. Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRYNYb30nxU

If you were a world leader your major concern would be?
Abolishing politics.

Which will happen first: regeneration or cybernetic implants for lost appendages?
Implants. I already saw a monkey eating marshmallows with a bionic arm.

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars, but only up to 1983.

Your thoughts on the military?
Military Intelligence, two words combined that can't make sense.

Religion?
I'd abolish religion right after politics. I call myself an agnostic psuedo-taoist, but it's really just a bullshit way to say I honestly don't know what the fuck.

Favorite beverage?
Grape juice.

Favorite alcoholic beverage?
Jim, Beam me up!

Favorite food?
Chicken Parmesan.

Biggest fear?
That one day I might turn sane.

Greatest moment?
Peter Steele threw a beer can at me once for screaming that he sucked.

Best concert?
The Toadies in 1996, I think it was. Giant open-air concert in Dallas in the middle of July, hot as hellfire, most of the kids there were teenagers for some reason and I was a head taller than all of them. I got in the mosh pit and a group of them banded together to take my 6'4" ass down. I got mosh-jumped by a dozen teenyboppers and it was glorious.

Ooh, me too, me too!

Nationality?
Polish

Race?
Caucasian, Slavic

Gender?
Male

Age?
Born in 1986 (to make it easier if this thread survives longer than a couple of weeks ;) )

Favorite book?
This changes depending on my mood, but Les Misérables by Victor Hugo, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis, The Doll by Bolesław Prus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Doll_%28novel%29) and The Trilogy by Henryk Sienkiewicz (don't bother reading this, I am aware of no non-abysmal English translation - in fact, it's my dream to produce one eventually) are among the top contenders.
...fine, I'll go with The Doll.

Favorite movie?
Like with books, this changes quite often, but Fight Club, the Lion King, Casablanca, the original Star Wars trilogy all come to mind.

Favorite Sci-Fi universe?
Does fantasy count? In that case, the Witcher universe. If not, I'm torn between Star Wars and Star Trek (yeah, I'm boring).

Favorite non-fiction book?
The Selfish Gene and/or Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus

What is your dream job? (doesn't have to be real)
Martial arts teacher or translator. Funnily enough, both are technically a possibility, but highly unlikely.

If you were a pro wrestler, what you be your intro music?
Can't imagine, I don't like pro wrestling.

Philosophy on love?
Love is both underrated and easily narrowed down just to the "butterflies in stomach, romantic-sentimental obession" kind of love. Much to love's detriment.

If you were a world leader your major concern would be?
Trying not to let my enthusiasm for "fixing" things turn into abuse of power.

Which will happen first: regeneration or cybernetic implants for lost appendages?
Implants, by a large margin.

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars - for the original trilogy. I'm torn on which expanded universe is better.

Your thoughts on the military?
Like war's, its existence is probably a necessary evil. I'm anti- anything military to the point of having a stick up my butt, though.

Religion?
I'm a Catholic as far as the sense of identity/belonging goes, my actual beliefs are closer to liberal Protestant, sprinkled with bits and pieces from many other religions and philosophies. Or to put it another way - I believe there are only two religions in the world (when you strip away the unknown, dogmas and religions tradition) - the religion of love and the religion of fear. Guess which I pick ;).

Favorite beverage?
Water.

Favorite alcoholic beverage?
Wine.

Favorite food?
No real preference - there's just too many types of food for me to settle on one.

Biggest fear?
Either going blind or finding out that I utterly can't trust my own mind (e.g. that I am schizophrenic).

Greatest moment?
Yet to come, or so I hope ;)

Best concert?
I dunno. Too shy and self-conscious to go to a rock concert. Too lazy to go to a classical music concert.

Race?
No thanks. I hate running.

Gender?
Female, I suppose.

Age?
21

Favorite book?
This is too hard for me to answer. Uh... I like too many books to choose. The Harry Potter series is always a safe answer.

Favorite movie?
I can never answer these sorts of questions. Um, I really like Pan's Labyrinth.

Favorite Sci-Fi universe?
Do comics count? I love me some X-men.

Favorite non-fiction book?
I love Historical sources and information books.

History Professor.

If you were a pro wrestler, what you be your intro music?
Uh...No ideas for this one.

Philosophy on love?
There are many levels of love: Family, friends, etc. It's always good to love and be loved.

If you were a world leader your major concern would be?
There would be too many to list, but primarily homelessness and poor families.

Which will happen first: regeneration or cybernetic implants for lost appendages?
Implants.

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Trek by far. I can't sit through the Star Wars movies.

Your thoughts on the military?
My Dad was in the Navy, so I have a lot of what I have because of the military. I can respect members of the military, just not always what the military does.

Religion?
I respect religion.

Favorite beverage?
Water.

Favorite alcoholic beverage?
Blue Moon or Fat-Tire. (Beers, generally.)

Favorite food?
Pastas and breads.

Biggest fear?
The dark, and looking into a mirror and seeing someone behind me.

Greatest moment?
Finally getting a chance to go to Germany, and completing my 4000 paper.

Best concert?
Admittedly, I have only been to two concerts...But I didn't like them much. I'll go ahead and say the choir concert where we performed Brahm's "Requiem."
"Are you really sure that a floor can't also be a ceiling?"

Implants - in view of what we are already seeing in terms what's is happening with protheses.

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars.

Your thoughts on the military?
Militaries are as varied as the countries and people who employ them. A well disciplined and professional forces under the control of civilian authority are still necessary in this time and can contribute to efforts to enforce and maintain peace (but it is oh so difficult).

The arena is empty except for one man,

The Reapers are the Angels by Alden Bell

Favorite movie?
Jeez, um. Not really a movie person. XD

Favorite Sci-Fi universe?
Ehhh.

Favorite non-fiction book?
Things that are psychology-based, I guess. Autism and abuse victims are most interesting to me.

What is your dream job? (doesn't have to be real)
Sit-at-home-and-get-paid-for-it. As far as anything real, I'm always bouncing around between "owning a cafe" and "adoption case worker."

If you were a pro wrestler, what you be your intro music?
"Bumblebee." Just to confuse 'em.

Philosophy on love?
I like it. Some people don't, and that's fine, long as they stay out of my (and others') business.

If you were a world leader your major concern would be?
Global warming's a big deal, deff. Health care in this country should be getting better in time. Women's rights and gay rights should be improved soon, obv.

Which will happen first: regeneration or cybernetic implants for lost appendages?
Implants. 'Cause there isn't enough support for stem cell research. >_>

Star Wars or Star Trek?

Nationality?
Israelo-French. Born Israeli, got French citizenship after living there most of my life.

Race?
Homo sapiens sapiens.
Hm...Can Jews be Caucasian?

Gender?
Male

Age?
Turning 28 next week.

Favorite book?
Hm...Probably the Ant trilogy by Bernard Werber.

Favorite movie?
Oh...Though call. Eh, gonna go with The Dark Knight for now.

Favorite Sci-Fi universe?
Either Mass Effect or Heaven's Reach (from Shards of the Exalted Dream).

Favorite non-fiction book?
Though call. Not really sure. Maybe The Encyclopedia of Absolute and Relative Knowledge.

What is your dream job? (doesn't have to be real)
Writer.

If you were a pro wrestler, what you be your intro music?
Power Up, from the soundtrack of History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi.

Philosophy on love?
I don't experience much of the emotion, but sure, I'm all for it intellectually.
But then there's the position that love isn't what you feel, but what you do. In that case...Yeah, sure. I figure, no matter what the political system, what we really need is for people to not be dicks to each other.

If you were a world leader your major concern would be?
Affordable quality education for all.

Which will happen first: regeneration or cybernetic implants for lost appendages?
Implants. They're already here. But regeneration will come.

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars. I don't consider Trek inferior or anything, I just don't personally connect to it as well as I do to SW.

Your thoughts on the military?
An unfortunate necessity. People who risk their lives to protect others deserve respect for it...but that should never translate into blind approval. The military can be just as corrupt as any other organization.

Religion?
I'm an atheist, and I generally consider religion as a whole to be an unfortunate mistake of the human race.
That said, I also have this weird fascination with Christianity. I love C.S. Lewis's non-fiction, and I read Fred Clark's "Slacktivist" every day.
As for religious people...My position on them is similar to my position on non-religious people.

Favorite beverage?
Water.

Favorite alcoholic beverage?
None. I avoid the stuff like the plague.

Favorite food?
Hard to choose, but I'm going to go for labane (type of Middle-Easter not-quite-yogurt) with bread (or some equivalent), olive oil, and za'atar (type of spice).

Biggest fear?
Dunno. Got a few, but dunno about "biggest".

Greatest moment?
Writing semi-parodic reviews of My Little Pony that lots of people found awesome and hilarious, despite having no prior experience writing comedy.

Best concert?
None. I prefer listening to music in my room.
