Considering the fact that Batman's primary nemesis is insane, I don't see him working with Squirrel Girl.

Dragging this thread kicking and screaming on topic: What if Ronnie went to the administration after decking Michael and told his side? "i was verbally assaulted. I admit, I may have overreacted, but I felt threatened." And I know, that's really not what happened, but all we know is he hit Mike and stormed off. Towards his room? Towards an authority figure? Just towards a door?

I really don't want him going all "fight or flight".

Oh, and Gene didn't show up to school for a while, then when he did, he gave me a wide berth. Call it luck, call it "he didn't have any friend to round up and sic on me", whatever. The bullying (from him) stopped.

How about the police? What Gene did was definitely a crime, even by pre-Columbine "bullying is no big deal" standards, and if the principal was no help, that would seem the logical next step.

Truth, but that in turn doesn't stop the bully's friends from deciding to 'do something' about their friend going to jail or escalating, either. I won't mention that in that time period CEO is talking about, bullying wasn't seen as a great big problem, either.

When I was a young and pernicious lad who was about as good as talking to people as Marie I lived in an area where the whole school walked home together more or less because it was just the natural path home for a lot of them.

I had gotten home earlier one day and was waiting outside the house for my parents to come home and unlock the door. Enough of the school didn't like me that I felt that suddenly the entire mob was after me as they were approaching and calling out to me that I climbed up onto the roof of my house. A lot of them followed and were starting to climb up also. Maybe they thought it was fun, maybe they were after me, I'm still not sure to this day.

My neighbor looked out of her window and saw most of junior high swarming my house with me at the back corner of the roof and called the cops.

I still had to walk home every day though so the next day I was fed a few tumbleweeds (this was in Arizona) and thrown in a ditch by a few of the larger kids in retaliation for the cops being called.

I learned to take a new back way home after that. The school had metal fences barring us in everywhere but I was small enough to slip between a broken one. I was always very tiny and young for my grade until my last couple of years in high school when I shot up. I was not big on fighting back because parents and school always gave me the impression that it was wrong period so I was really bad about defending myself even when I could have.

Because some of us found it interesting and intellectually stimulating to discuss, and found the broader topic to have applications within our interpretation of the current comic?

I come here to see what others have to say about the comic, not to be fed Chuck Norris "frontier justice" apologetics.

Maybe we should punch Shadrach in the face. Their behavior is negative and I choose to interpret it as bullying. If we punch them really hard maybe the message will come through that they shouldn't act like that and it will preemptively prevent further incidents.
