Poor innocent Clarice... She seems nice enough but is clearly quite naive. I wonder how much she even knows about Hank.

Or Clarice is reading a bit too deep into their relationship. DX I hope that's not it.

More I look at it, I'm starting to think Hank's Batman. I mean, between the secrets, the ripped body and the alert-to-danger eyes in the 9th, it just screams closeted superhero.

SO MUCH THIS. I get that Hank has reason to fear being out, given his implied past, but that by no means forces him to lead a girl on to the point of second base. :x

I'm really hoping there's a "more to it than what it looks like" explanation for this, because I really do want to like Hank. (And in fact I did, before these strips with Clarice.)

I like the little eyeless people peeking in in the last panel, and Hank's comforting hand on Micheal's head is adorable, so I'm going to deliberately misinterpret it, kthx.

To me it looks like Hank is reading Clarice's mind in the last panel, and knows he must get to her before she lets something slip and ruins everything.
