Princess Celestia: Better than Daffy Duck, but not quite as qualified as Lyndon LaRouche.

If I were American?
Yeah, I think my vote would go to the guy who got out of Iraq, vastly improved healthcare, ended DADT and came out in support of gay marriage.

Gary Johnson. I want a president who'll end war, fix the economy, and protect our civil liberties. We won't get any of that if Obama or Romney wins in November.

I wish Harold Saxon could run, but he's not American or human for that matter and birth certificates seem to be of importance.

Well, if it's any consolation, Boris Johnson, after 14 years residency, probably could run. We are not beyond hope for an English space alien in the White House.

Lyra for President. She's just the hands-on kind of pony we need in office.

I saw him on the Daily Show and he's good, but I like my secret alien overlords to have certain whimsical lunacy.

Obama. But Stacy's mom was my second choice. :P

lilithanat wrote:Please. If anypony is fit for the office, it's Celestia. She's always right (except for that one time she wasn't, in the second season finale) and she has the combined skills of all three pony types, thus representing the three branches of the U.S. government. (I'll leave it to you all to figure out which pony type corresponds to which branch.)

Earth pony would be the Executive branch. It is the least extraordinary of the pony races, in that they cannot fly or use magic, but they can get things done when necessary.

Unicorn would be the Legislative branch. They study up and gain special skills so that they can change reality (by passing laws).

Pegasis would be the Judiciary branch. They soar high above the other ponies and keep an eye on things to make sure everything is going smoothly.

Non-Americans: "Executive" is the preisdent, who has virtually no power on zir own. "Legislative" is congress, who can create new laws. "Judiciary" is the Supreme Court, who can declare whether a law is or is not constitutional, meaning they get the final say in whether a law will live or die or change.

Further to Valerie's explanation, there's also this 2004 educational Looney Tunes short (it has Bugs in it):

Daffy Duck for President
