Searching for good sex with no strings attached will do that, yes. There's a good chance it'll be caused by a failure on Jade's behalf to notify Temperance that she...needed the room to herself tonight....Followed by Temperance checking in, not expecting her dorm room to be...a'rockin', then lots of screeching and hurling of objects in Jade's and Lil' Blabberpuss's general direction.

Will Jade learn anything from this, other than it's time to find a new roommate? Well, that's a riddle for ya.

Why are we assuming that Jade and Temp don't have their own roommate agreement? Or that they'll go back to Jade's, not Lisa's?

Jade's decision to use Ronnie as a courier for her little in-joke way to ask Lisa to be her Creole Lady Marmalade, which was based solely on how he was there here an now?

She didn't consider any other factors with asking some random dorm-mate, that neither she nor Lisa knew at all, to deliver an encrypted message inviting another pretty girl to have sex with her. Only saw her and Lisa, which could easily extend to forgetting any violations on the roommate agreement she made with her highly irritable roommate, whom she nonchalantly provokes, thinking only of her curiosity. And that scenario depends on Temperance letting go of her need for personal secrecy enough to let Jade know about what she doesn't want to unknowingly walk in to.

Long monologue into short explanation: Impulsive Roommate + Uncommunicative Roommate + All 3 parties lack experience with this sort of thing = Well-planned night of Whoop-Whoop hardly guaranteed.

I think this might lead to Temperance asking to swap rooms with Lisa. That way the two (in her mind) annoying people who are too open about their sexuality are both out of sight, and she can be with Sara all the time. Oh dear...

Hm. Temperance, from the one strip we've seen of them interacting, does seem to find Jade irritating, but I don't see that she necessarily views Lisa that way. She did join in the laughter at Lisa's impressions on the first day. I think it's more that she's so into Sara that she forgets Lisa's even there when the three of them are together; hence Lisa feeling like a third wheel at dinner after the auditions. But I don't think that's deliberate on Temp's part.

There's no question, though, that Sara and Temperance would be, on the face of it, a more natural romantic pairing than Sara and Lisa, or Lisa and Temperance. The same could be said of Lisa and Jade, although as someone said in chat recently, it's entirely possible they could end up clashing because they're so similar.

I must say, though, that it's still hard for me to get a hold on Temperance's personality, more so than with the other recurring characters. She seemingly rejected the "I'm interested" signal Sara sent her during orientation (remember her "deer in headlights" look?). Then, after the time skip between chapters, she's suddenly really into Sara, enough to follow her to an audition just so she can gaze at her, and then, when they break the ice by reading a scene together, taking the initiative and asking her on (what she at least considers) a date. Both during orientation and in her conversation with Jade over the quiz, she comes across as serious, quiet, shy and repressed, but with Sara she shows a sense of humour, talkativeness and openness about her family. Is it just Sara that brings these qualities out in Temp? If so, then what happened over the course of the month to change her mind about Sara?

Who is Temperance? what is she, / That all but Sara offends* her?

*Not literally "offends," of course. I just wanted a rhyme with "commend."

I think she was just unprepared to be hit on and blue screened. Maybe she's had to keep her orientation on the down low back home and was just stunned by the not subtle come on, and shot her down on reflex, then thought about it later and was all "Mm... sexy times." Its easy to forget this is their first month actually on their own and away from their usual set of judgements. they all sorts of NEW judgements to handle now!
