Whether anything comes of her tryst with Jade or not, I'm glad that Lisa seems to be moving on from her crush on Hank which, given what we know about his sexual orientation from T's statement in the Q&A thread, would be hopeless. I was a bit concerned when, at the end of her soul-baring talk with him last chapter, she said, "Oh honey, you think I need alcohol to do something stupid?
You don't know me at all!" and then thought, "
But you will." (Emphasis mine.)
Not that I thought Lisa was going to go stalker on Hank, but I was concerned that what had seemed at first to be a lightning-fast shift of emotions understandable for a frosh in her first week (first demonizing him as a homophobe, then idolizing him as a Noble Suffering Gay Guy) might turn into an extended infatuation that would make Aggie's long-lasting dream of getting with Marshall look like a sure thing by comparison. (At least Marshall, contrary to some early fan speculation, is very much straight, so there was a
remote possibility that Aggie could've won him over someday. Hank, Lisa wouldn't have a prayer with.)
Also, I recognize Lisa, until we see otherwise, may not see this night with Jade as a potential SRS RELATIONSHIP thing (maybe not even Jade does), but just a fun hook-up. Even so, I'm glad to see she didn't react to Jade's overture by raising her arm to her forehead and saying, "No! I must...save myself for Hank."
