Well, Ronnie, don't get too confident in yourself or anything. After all, no one likes a braggart!

For reference:

Hey Sister, Go Sister, Soul Sister, Go Sister
Hey Sister, Go Sister, Soul Sister, Go Sister

He met Marmalade down in Old New Orleans
Struttin' her stuff on the street
She said 'Hello, hey Joe, you wanna give it a go?

Aa..and Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Da Da
Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Here

Mocca chocolata Ya Ya
Creole Lady Marmalade

Sha said... Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi

He stayed in her boudoir while
She freshened up
The boy drank all that magnolia wine
Oh her black satin sheet's where
he started to freak when she said

Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Da Da
Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Here

Mocca chocalata Ya Ya
Creole Lady Marmalade

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi

Heh, Heh, Hehhhh

Touching her skin feeling silky smooth
Colour of cafe au lait
Made the savage beast inside
Roar until it cried More, More, More

Now he's at home doing 9 to 5
Living his gray flannel life
But when he turns off to sleep
Old memories creep More, More, More

Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya Da Da... Da
Gitchi Gitchi Ya Ya here

Mocca chocolata Ya Ya
Creole Lady Marmalade

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir
Voulez-vous coucher avec moi
Voulez-vous couchez avec moi ce soir
Creole Lady Marmalade
etc.etc

for those who don't know- "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir/Voulez-vous coucher avec moi" basically translates as "would you like to sleep with me tonight/would you like to sleep with me" If I have my French correct there.

OH! Weeklong missing plot connecting again! Hello there. :)
So I guess...Ronnie here took more than a day to send Jade's message? Or we have some sort of time skips here, inbetween the beginning of the strip, Temperance's search, and Michael and Marie?

..My question would be, which part of the song would be the chorus?
From what Lisa acted it seemed to be the french part.

Also, the opposite of nice is ugly, huh. While in this case the nice part would mean 'pleasant' or 'good'.... Hmm. Am I reading too much?

Nah, I don't think so (reading too much). Nice = pretty/bad = ugly has been around FOREVER, and it wouldn't surprise me if Ronnie bought into that hard.

(Unrelatedly, Ronnie is not really any more or less than average, but Iiiii doubt that that perception of himself developed in a vacuum.)

Poor Ronnie. :(

Still, at least he doesn't seem to have reacted worse than usual to Lisa's "caught it juuust a mite too late" slip-up. His expression in the last panel is his customary "Is this person mocking me?" one, as opposed to "Oh God, she's saying I'm too horribly ugly to sleep with; I want to die."

On a brighter note, I am so shipping Lisa/Jade right now. While I'm not saying Lisa has to jump into bed with her right away, I do think they'd play well off each other, the li'l kooks, and would love to see them date, at least.

Nice to see he's still needlessly unpleasant for no real reason.

On the one hand, I agree with you - I feel bad for Ronnie, but it is very difficult to be around someone who is so constantly negative about both himself and the world around him.

On the other, it's rare for that overall attitude to develop in a vacuum; he may well have spent years being told by his peers (or even family members!) that he is *ugly and unpleasant and difficult to be around, and enough of that treatment can make you pretty much permanently on the self-defensive (and/or unpleasant and difficult to be around).

Hooray for self-fulfilling prophecies :|

*I'd say that he's probably no more or less than average looking, but teenagers (and sometimes adults) can be awful mean about weight, for one thing.
