More seriously -- considering the first time he went up to her room, he seemed to be hoping for sexytimes, it seems to be some or failure of character (or communication) that is causing him to not pursue it now.
Even if he is asexual(and him quoting a song lyric in his first appearance doesn't exactly mean that), would a good night kiss on the cheek have killed him?
