Ugh, I know, right? "Oh, I just want what's best for you!" Yeah, well what's BEST for me is for you to shut the fuck up and stop pressuring me. And stop telling me I can ~change my mind any time I want to~. SEXUALITY DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT, OKAY? IT'S NOT SOMETHING THAT I CAN JUST ~TURN OFF~ BECAUSE YOU WANT ME TO BE ~HAPPY~ AND APPARENTLY I CAN ONLY BE HAPPY IN A SEXUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH SOMEONE WITH GENTLEMAN PARTS.
Er...
*ahem*
That is to say...
Kittens?

To which Iseul would reply "I did." Without a trace of irony.
Ugh. I just. Ugh. Iseul is like a big amalgamation of all the worst parts of both my parents with none of the fun stuff thrown in. Definitely a least favorite character. (She does have a point or two over my dad, though: he doesn't wait to hang up the phone to start yelling and calling people idiots.)
Arky wrote:The interesting giveaway in this strip is that Elizabeth knows not only about Iseul's homophobia, but about her issues with Sara. I find it hard to imagine that Iseul would just tell anyone about that, it's her secret shame. Surely a hint that Iseul and Elizabeth are already sleeping together (and Elizabeth's girlfriend is incredibly uncurious as to how Elizabeth knows such private things about Iseul).

Wat.
People can and do find out about other people's kids without sleeping with them. Most of the time, actually.
And it also seems pretty darn obvious that this little tirade is the exact point where Elizabeth comes to the conclusion that Iseul is (1) intriguing, and (2) achievable. (Though I must admit that I have no idea what about this little whispered tirade sets off E's gaydar here.

If Iseul's the accountant, why does it sound like she's just run customer service for Elizabeth's travel agency? Why is she answering Elizabeth's phone?
