I note that Temperance is doing some of what Sara was doing when she and Fiona went out to the movies.

Whaddya know, spend enough time away from theatre events and you forget Waiting for Godot. Good to know.

I should read it again o.O

*we once had a theatre event where 7 different teams decided to do Waiting for Godot and another 7 went with The Importance of Being Earnest, with only about 3 teams opting for any other plays. It was a weird competition

I suspect this is not a "first with Sara" first date, but a "first ever" first date. Her face here could be interpreted as "What? Someone is interested in ME???!!!", and I can imagine that leading to a huge crush.

Of course I'm probably completely wrong.

Agreed (that's how I took it too) and agreed on the second part too.

Perhaps, but her butting in when one of her friends is flirting is one of Lisa's least enduring qualities especially when the other person isn't a mistake waiting to happen. However, since Temperance is slightly familiar then it's just Lisa being Lisa.

I took Lisa's little "outburst" as a warning to Sara that she was missing the invitation.

That was my first thought, too. Sara was talking on and on like she didn't hear it (or didn't get it) or like she was word-barrage-hesitating what to answer. So I took the AHEM to be an "answer her, already" cough :p

Also "Temperance is too cute", count: 3. I really like her. :3

I'm so exciiited by these prospectssss that I drew a fanaaarrt

also

maybe Temp was bullied into doing things at home because she looked really sad when said she'd audition, and he didn't even have to push her much. It's going to be super interesting cuz if she's kind of messed up from that, she's not going to be that "safe" person that Sara was looking for in P&A!

So it looks like Temp isn't undecided. And she isn't an intolerant fundie, which is a good thing.

They didn't all perform that in front of audiences, did they? I can imagine they would've gotten quite tired of both by the third performance of each. O.o

The festival was dragged over 2 days or so, and you could attend any plays you liked. Hilariously enough, since everyone quit attending after the 3rd renditions of the same play, the play which won the festival only had like 20 people in the audience...since it was the 6th rendition of The Importance of Being Earnest(a very good one at that). The judges supposedly sat through all renditions of each play. (2 of the 3 judges decided that our play was not worth attending, so they might not have attended other plays either...)

I think that Sara answered immediately. Look at the word balloons again. The director says who gets callbacks, then Sara says it's nice to see a familiar face. Lisa's AHEM comes in right after that, so it's probably to point out that there IS another familiar face there, namely, Lisa.

THEN, Temperance asks if she's hungry, and Sara says "I could eat."

You know for someone who so often keenly sees what's going on with people I think Lisa didn't realize she invited herself on a date... and now she's regretting it. She knows she's the third wheel, as we see, but there's no polite way to uninvite herself.

Also wondering what will happen with Sara's mother in the next scene.
