Sort of a "You're so nice. You're not good; you're not bad; you're just nice. I'm not good; I'm not nice; I'm just right" thing then?

Not really. The emphasis is on those who are good, without being nice.

I didn't see the witch as particularly ungood. Petty, perhaps, but not bad.

am i the only one who doesn't think it's weird that hank said that in the beginning but didn't necessarily mean it?
my ra i was actually friend with, but that's also because she was a week younger than me and we just had loads in common and she was an unusually spectacular ra.

typically they're upperclassmen an have a shit ton of work going on.
i was told going into college that my ra would be of virtually zero help to me because they're doing their own work and don't possibly have time to deal with everyone living on the floor.
big things, things like roommate contracts, etc and things towards registration and finals would be a time when they decide to have lounge hours where you can come and meet with them for some quick help, but that's really it for my friend's ra's aside from the occasional building-sponsored function.

however we did notify an ra of something of this nature (there was a girl on my friend's floor that she really really thought might have had an eating disorder, so she came to my ra (i was there when this happened) and my ra took down the girl's name and room number and either her or their actual ra stopped by the girl's room in the following days to have a chat (not about having an eating disorder, but to try and gauge how the girl was doing, this was also well into second semster) so i do actually feel like there is slight reason for hank to check out the bottle situation even if only for the fact that these could be the girl's empties and since it's a dorm with freshman i'm also guessing it's a dry dorm.

Kind of like how if ra's at my school see/suspect drinking/alcohol/bottles in your room they automatically have to assume that you're drinking and confiscate it, take a picture, write you up for a housing violation and then you're technically suposed to take alcohol counselling. (if they even so much as think you've got weed, though, they call the cops and the cops immediately come and search your room.)
