[11 Apr 12] I blame myself for even asking

Well, I must admit, Sara's definitely emerged the more mature of the two leads, so far. But there's still time for Lisa.

And good-bye, Chapter One. (I think T must be glad...he was really starting to stretch the Q-words there. :D )

We've seen them in five years from now. It looks like Sara is still ahead. Not that I don't enjoy Lisa's antics...

At least in five years, Lisa will have her own web show, so that's something. (How much she earns off of it is another thing...)

Go ask Alice; I think she'll know.

Sara has been through so much that she's matured faster than Lisa, I think.
There was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, and when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad she was homicidal.

I love LIsa's "thinky" expression in the third panel.

True. And she's always been quite level-headed.

X3 She really thought she'd get a serious answer from her fun lovin' roommate?

Yes and just because Sara is an actor doesn't mean she's successful by most society standards. Don't get me wrong theater is very rewarding, but unless you're on TV or in the movies where you make a lot of money most people will think you're a loser.

To be quite honest I think Lisa and Sara are about even. Philosophy is overrated and Lisa has some code of morality so aside from a few bumps along the way she's doing alright. As for Sara it's good that she's not being lead by her libido, but taking life too seriously can wear you down after awhile.

I recall the line from "Fame" (the movie) where the drama teacher tells the students "There are 50,000 people in the country who call themselves actors; there are around 500 actually making a living at it."

Notice the reminder that this whole first chapter has covered less than a week. And yet, it took six months in real-world time. That's not quite a record for T; that would be "Dinner for Six" which, once it got to the "dinner" part, spent over four months in real-world time to cover about two hours of comic time, followed by "Missing Person," which covered less than twenty-four hours in three and a half months. But it's close. Yay, Webcomic Time!

I wonder if there will be a time skip in-comic with the beginning of the next chapter.

I once read an interview with the actor James Marsters, in which he mentioned once having had a part in a play opposite a longtime stage actor who he admired greatly. One night, the other actor gave him a lift home in his beat-up old car and, in relation to his needing a new transmission, said something like 'Man, I'm really tired of being poor.' Marsters claimed that, as soon as the play's run was over, he drove straight to LA and started auditioning for TV roles.

Okay, it's totally irrelevant, but what's the big black dot next to Sara in panel 1?

Continuity is such a downer. It means we know Sara doesn't kill Lisa in her sleep

I don't think Sara is yet as mature as people seem to think. She's still only one step away from the hormonicidal maniac we've seen for much of chapter 1, and she's spouting the sort of pseudo-deep platitudes common to first-year philosophy students. Doesn't make her mature.

Well, at least we have some sort of balance? Lisa tend to be more nuanced when it comes to....partnership, while Sara seems to gain a new perspective and maturity, which will help her..a lot.

And end chapter 1!

Well, the Masked Memer could be an impersonator... Or some old files Sarah finds in Lisa's computer and uses them to cover her crime!
Keep smiling! It makes people wonder what you've been up to :D
