[2-20-12] Mind walking me back to my room?

Postby Valerie » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:05 pm

Ooh, I'm so glad we get to see the back story here. Maybe we'll be able to settle all this squabble on the forum about whether Lisa did something wrong.

Also, flirty Lisa is flirty. It's cute. X3

With the way Lisa's luck is going in her last 24 hours, Chrissie will turn out to be the dean of whatever program Lisa is in.

Or the dean's kid! The dean of the whole college. :o

Also, Lisa appears to have been drinking, if my take on "queasy" is right.

Stay classy, Lisa. :)

For a while now, I've been idly considering the possibility that Chrissie will be teaching Lisa's first class of the day.

I can imagine Chrissie as a fellow student, but not as a teacher. Given that she's having problems dealing with her sexual impulses I can't imagine her being foolish enough to add onto the problem by getting involved with a student. Even if Lisa isn't a student of hers I would imagine the school frowns upon faculty having any sort of non-academic involvement with undergrads.

Unrelated to anything else....oh, man, Chrissie is cute in the top right panel. (Stupid fuzzy borders, making it hard to count panels. >_>)

Yeah, I'm starting to rethink my position. Not that I ever thought Lisa had done anything malicious, but I was in the camp of "maybe Lisa should not have been picking people up at random while walking around campus late at night." But seeing how things seem to have gone down, I'm beginning to think that Freemage was correct. That will teach me to express opinions before we see what happened.

*giggles* That's too cute. Lisa's the world's best flirter.

How so? Some women enjoy being looked at as "protectors" or having their egos stroked in more traditionally "masculine" ways. Admittedly this could be something Chrissie takes issue with, but she seems receptive. Just because someone is trans doesn't mean they identify with every gender stereotype.

I think it was specifically going on what we know about Chrissie so far. Given how vehemently she declared herself a woman when running out, I (likewise) formed the hypothesis that she might view "protector = masculine". It's true that she seems receptive now, but it may well be part of her freak-out later, because in her POV she took the masculine role from the get-go in her encounter. With this in mind, her freakout may not have even been specifically the use of her penis during the sex, as much as her behavior for the entire encounter.

Of course, Lisa has no way of knowing that, so she's really only going with what works, and since it seems to be working, well. If it ain't broke.

As a side-note, something I've been meaning to ask: are we absolutely certain that Chrissie is pre-op trans? I mean, has it actually been confirmed at some point? The evidence mostly seems to point to that, but at the same time there's this niggly voice in my brain going "you know, it's also possible that she's a hermaphrodite who is Questioning her gender identity..." and then a long jumble of evidence and speculation that I don't feel like typing out.

You know, that's plausible. Hadn't occurred to me. I don't recall whether T's definitely said anything about what Chrissie is, chromosomally-speaking.

One important point, though: nowadays, the preferred term is not "hermaphrodite" but "intersex." Indeed, many intersex people consider the other term offensive. ("Hermaphrodite" may still be used for animals with dual sex characteristics.)

Well! Learn something new every day, then. I shall file that away for future reference, thanks.
