Thank you Valerie. That means a lot to me, especially since there are so many people who like to try and hurt me by attacking me on this particular issue. HUGS and I hope you are well.

The job that was supposed to start June 11 and then got pushed back July 2 is now pushed back until August. Just when things begin to look up I get kicked down again and I think that hurts worse than constant rejection because I actually have the job, but the start date keeps changing.

If I understood correctly what you meant, the word "trans" can be removed from that sentence. Transwomen aren't less likely to be feminists than ciswomen are.

Of course some of us have to pretend to be the opposite of feminists in some ways to get sexist doctors to help us...

It isn't that. There's a propitiatory attitude that goes along with being male that is can be hard to shake. Basically, a lot of trans women have a lot of that sense of male privilege that carries over during and after transition. It doesn't happen with all of us, though. A lot of it has to do with, I think, how much we strove to hide being female by taking a very deep male role.

What I know is that I've run into far too many trans women who have a very male privileged attitude and still retain a lot of male personality traits. Though, in all honesty, I've run into that with many butch lesbians too and it drives me up a wall.

Your experience is very different from mine, then.

So if I understand correctly now... there are "militant feminists", who likely have dominant and entitled-acting personalities (because they're so sure they can decide for others who is or isn't a "real" women), who say transwomen aren't women because those are (according to them) all dominant and entitled-acting...?

Well, Lia, I think a lot of it is cultural. You come from a very different culture than I do when it comes to male/female interactions, but you are correct. This is what it comes down to with my situation. I know it sounds crazy, but it's also part of why I'm not a large part of the trans community here also. Too many tend to get on my nerves by either trying to imitate the stereotypical woman or by acting too male chauvinistic. I know it's kind of bad that I don't understand heterosexuality and am scared of men, but I don't go around acting like everyone's not equal.

These are female chauvinists, and I'm just glad that you haven't run into them.

I found out Dolan Duck (the meme) is apparently Finnish creation. I am so, so sorry.

Eh. We (the U.S.) came up with much worse things. Jersey Shore, for one. You've got nothing to apologize for. :)

I'm very sorry that you have to go through this. I'm sure it's not appropriate, but part of me also wants to congratulate you on your decision. There's only so much you can do before you have to start watching out for yourself. I hope that you'll be in a better position now.

The papers are drawn up and signed...61 day cooling off period from the 18th and at that point we can finalize or not, and she's still leaving on Friday but I'm still trying to reconcile with her. I'm either a hopeless romantic or a doormat. I'm leaning toward doormat. Duels are illegal now right?

So my e-brother. I could really use a road trip right now, not to mention the Otaking should be there for Otaku in need and I haven't done anything Otaku in far too long.

I'm dropping her off Friday afternoon at the airport and it's 6 hours between you me and San Antonio. Check your PMs for details. We're totes doing this if you're game.

So I go into work last night to find that the air is broken. And I'm in a glass box for 10 hours. With a low temp of 84 last night.

Of course, then my buddy came back from vacation that night, happy as hell with the new GF. I put on my best face, but the depression kicked in immediately. Pretty bad when someone else's good news makes you feel like shit, and then you feel worse because you shouldn't be feeling bad for someone else being happy.

It was hotter than a demon's jock strap here today, but that's not been the big issue for me. Last night I had my first nightmare in almost two years. I've felt like crying all day because of how scared it made me. I really wish that I wasn't having them any more, but too many of the stories lately have been hurting me emotionally :(

Oh geez. I hope you're all right today, NS. And while it's not a great thing to be unhappy like that, it's not a horrible thing, either. Hope you get to go on a nice trip soon yourself, you sound like you could use a break. :(

Hope your nightmares fade quickly, Art. :( *hug*

Thank you. I hope so too. The nightmare is not quite a dream. It's partially a memory. I just wish that it wouldn't come back :(

Today technically started with stepping on broken glass then I went to bed early and I woke up later than I intended. Got attacked by kittens cuz they got scared of my music bullet.

Idiot boy is home cuz his place is being fumigated and ate my dinner.

Sure I got pizza and Jimmy Johns but the whole 'He is home' thing pisses me off. DX ARRRGGGHH!!

Broken bike nearly caused me to ride into traffic, got a fun game that I can't save on.

Gave a cat a bath too.

I know you all wish you were me. I bet you all wish you could give a cat a bath. DX<
