Why would you want to be a vegetarian? Vegetarians can't eat bacon.

My parents, who are the most hippie hating God fearing Republicans you could ever want, are now total vegetarians for health reasons which I find humorous.

I'm pretty carnivorous myself but I'm also trying hard to cut out red meat and up my vegetable intake so I do feel better for it...less roiling in my gut and overall a better feeling of health. We found a badass sushi/hibachi place close to us (rare find in texas) and so I'm cheating with things like tempura (of the vegetable or shrimp kind) and sushi though.

People used to eat raw seafood for generations (see shellfish mounds of primitive peoples all over the southern U.S. river and coastlines) and I think our digestive systems take it easier than red meat. What do I know though.

I find that the easiest thing for me to digest is meats while the hardest are grains like rice and I'm totally gluten intolerent and I can't eat corn. Literally, my body just processes meats better than it does anything else.

I have either caught something, or the "blueberry flavoring" (derived from acai berries) in a drink my mom had mixed up is the cause. But it's not easy to sleep when your insides seem to be quite determined to empty themselves completely over the span of a few hours. I feel like some telepath has sidled up to me and simply whispered/projected "pain... into me. >.< </Babylon5 reference like 2 people will get>

ZK,

I'm sorry to hear that, and you have my sympathies.

Zanosuke, we can be sick together. My insides aren't trying to escape, but my throat has made several complaints known and my balance is less than what it should be. The room spins so nicely...

Also, yay for Babylon 5! I miss that show.

Food poisoning. Dodgy ingredients or poor preparation, usually.

Ah, Lyta Alexander, played by Pat Tallman! JMS developed the telepaths really well, the unease that would be felt by the "mundanes" and the vulnerability of the repressed telepaths to a power-mad manipulator such as Bester.

It is a great shame we never got to see Crusade developed. Although the Technomages were the main focus of the storyline, we'd have seen some more of the telepaths too.

I loved Bester as a character...then that doubled when I realized he was Checkov (SP?) from Star Trek. I really do miss that show.

We got better development of the Mages and Telepaths in a couple of trilogies devoted to them (for example: the last episode of Season 3, where Sheridan was on Z'ha'dum. Galen was there fighting as well - it's why the Eye turned away and let the White Star through. Now that bit actually makes sense, huh?) And Bester, magnificent bastard that he was, had a stake driven into his grave by Garibaldi. (An observer, who was there to make sure that bastard was buried, just smiled and thought "I don't think it quite works that way, Mr. Garibaldi..." as he was walking away.) That's something I love for B5 - the books are (mostly, with the exception of a detail or two here and there) canon to the show, unlike with Star Trek and bits of Star Wars.

It probably was food poisoning, or maybe just way too much of one type of food. I made the slight error of having two types of canned pasta for breakfast/lunch yesterday, and was given the lion's share of the manicotti for dinner. It's somewhat gone away now, but wow has it left me all weak and dizzy. So i feel your pain, BlackCatGoddess. 9_6

Art - yeah, this was just a huge "ouch" for the last 15 hours. Never want to go through this again. x.x

ZK,

It's pretty much what I go through for two weeks :( Most of the cramps for me are in the lower intestine, though.

I hope you're feeling better now.

*grumbles*

I'm going to miss work on Wednesday. My great aunt died. I spent about $130 on clothes/shoes for myself and Morgan so that we can go to the funeral. I do not make enough money for this shit. When I die, I demand everyone to wear normal clothes. Don't spend money on my dead ass. D< YOU GUYS REMEMBER THAT IF YOU END UP ATTENDING MY FUNERAL. THAT SHIT'S GONNA BE CASUAL AS FUCK.
DON'T YOU DARE WEAR FORMAL ATTIRE OR I WILL
FUCKING
HAUNT YOU.

For reference, in one day's wages, I make $64 before taxes. So I spent over two days' worth of money and I'm losing a day. For someone who isn't even going to know that I'm there. Bah.

I'm going for Dad. She was his aunt. I knew her, too, but we weren't that close, so I probably wouldn't be going if not for him.

And to top it all off, I have to acknowledge that I'm being a brat, because here I am whining about buying cute new clothes when someone else had to die to give me the excuse. Gragh.

Dusting!! All day dusting at my job! DX I thought I was gonna sneeze my face off when I was done today.

May not be considered bad day to everyone but I was dusting an entire gift shop part of the store. DX Was as fun as it sounds.

All right, guys, pop quiz.

1. When you approach a grocery store and find that the door is locked, do you:

A) Assume from that, the general lack of employees, the lights being off, and the sign on the door that says "Sorry, we're closed" that the store must be closed and leave,
or
B) Pull at the door several more times, under the assumption that doing so will magically make the store open again?

2. You have an inquiry for one of the employees. Do you:

A) Approach the nearest one and say "Excuse me, {inquiry}?"
or
B) Stand on the opposite end of the store and say, at a voice only slightly louder than speaking level, "Hey! {Inquiry}!", and then give the employee in question a dirty look for not having any idea what you just said?

3. If you are accompanied by a small charge of some time while at the store, do you:

A) Ensure that your small charge stays nearby, uses their indoor voice, and generally conducts themself in a reasonable manner,
or
B) Allow them to run all over the store, acting the fool, shouting, pulling things from the shelves, and occasionally breaking things that you will then refuse to pay for?

I'll give you a hint: The answer to all of the above is A.

77% of my customers would fail this quiz.

(They do all kinda things that drive me batty, but if I type them all up I'll be here all night.)

So I woke up on the wrong side of the bed,
Had a bad dream involving some Terminator-like being doing unspeakable things to a child (..not sexual though. THANK GOD)
And now I've got to deal with unwanted invasion at the store,
AGAIN.

I can't deal with this shhhtttt aaaaaaaaaa *bubbles*

Bubbles : I can feel your pain. Customers often took the workers for granted, no..? :(
Val : I'm sorry. *hugs* for the great aunt, your family, and the unjustly spent money.
Zanosuke and Black Cat Godess : Are you doing better?
