Thank you. I had a nice, long talk with a friend of mine. She understands what's going on very well. It helped a lot.
There was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, and when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad she was homicidal.

I haven't been on this forum long, Artemisia, but you seem like a person who can express a lot of those pent up and angry feelings. Even with the internet as a tool, I'm not always that strong after everything I've been through.

Artemisia, I can't even begin to relate, but I agree with NS. However society feels about you, it's none of their business. You are beautiful/handsome (whichever you prefer) and they're just jealous that they aren't strong enough to go against societal norms like you are. We're always here for you.

Well, actually, my own bad news is that I'll have very, very limited Internet access for a while. To make a long story short, we don't have a connection at our house and have had to hang out at Mammaw's for any sort of reliable connection. Aside from the horrible smoke I've mentioned, I uh... Kinda had a meltdown on Sunday and got very screamy. It was about how Mom sucks and Mammaw (among others) didn't care enough to do anything about it.

I'm... Really having second thoughts about moving back. I've been a mess the whole time. Not that I wasn't a mess before. The messy part is just really loud lately.

Thank you both. I try to be resilliant. I am always afraid of failing.

HUGS to you Valerie. I know that things are rough for you. I do hope that things get better soon.

Hugs for Artemisia, Valerie, and anyone else who should have gotten them since the last time I posted in this thread.

I had a bad day on monday. I had to let my parents talk with the therapist who will decide whether or not I'll get HRT and SRS (I could get those elsewhere but then my insurance will pay nothing). I'm glad I had a krav maga lesson at the end of the day, it doesn't really help me get rid of anger but it's good to get completely exhausted.

Ooooh, good luck! I hope that all works out well for you~ (lol krav maga. I only know what that is because of HIMYM.)

Heeheehee. The funniest thing about that is that if you would walk in at just the right time, you might think you walked into a yoga class. Except there are no yoga mats and the teacher and some of the students look a bit too tough to be doing yoga.

Oh, Lia, I hope that goes well. It is a wonderful journey that you are on, and please don't take my meltdowns as being indicative of what you're about to face. I have a lot of other issues facing me. I hope it goes well and HUGS back to you.

Obviously monday didn't go so well, but I guess the damage is manageable - I'll get many more times to talk with that therapist and my parents won't.

Lia,

I'm just sad that your parents don't seem to be all that supportive, but that's just my impression right now. My parents have been very supportive, and I wish others would have that.

You'll get there. I know you will.

OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS.

My PolSci class has class discussions on various hot-button issues and today was the gay marriage one. I didn't get nearly as much support for my side of the argument (for gay marriage) as I would have liked and the support against it was overwhelming and all of their arguments were flimsy at best and I had to test the limits of my self-control not to revert to the angry person I used to be and I just want to cry now and I want an ice cream but I don't think I have enough money for one because I spent the last of my money on breakfast and oh my gosh you guys I need a hug and a one way ticket out of this state. ._.

I'm sorry to hear it. I might not know how it feels but that certainly sounds painful, especially when a lot of people have since moved from that old position.

Keep calm. Let them expose their own flaws in their arguments by their explosiveness.
Let the emotions; the disappointment go. Keep trying; you can (and will) get out of this state. :)

*Big Hugs* Keep fighting the good fight, LeBubbles. You may not realize it, but every time someone gets hit with an argument they cannot refute, they lose just a small layer off their hold on the position. It can take time, but you and I are both proof that it can work in the long run.
