Well hey! Congratulations, brasca! Hope the new job doesn't drive you too insane. ;) (And aren't those three just such nutbars? XD)

Beginning with Saturday's trip to the Phoenix Comicon and getting a chance to meet Randy Milholland, Danielle Corsetto, and David Willis and ended with employment! It's not a dream job, but the pay is good and after 3 months I was getting scared I wouldn't find anything especially with school being out for the year. :D

Congrats!

I was actually quite nervous since these are the people who write the things that I read at the end my day reading and I didn't know what I'd say once I was there. It helps that Randy isn't like his alter ego like you said. I bought some books while I was there, but I think my most prized possession was a custom sketch of you know who. I'd share it, but for some reason I cannot seem to upload sketches or fashion it into an avatar.

And thanks everyone. I was reluctant to go since I'm low on cash and worried about having enough to get through the next month, but if gave in to frugality I would've missed the convention just when my fortunes improved.

My uncle rocks. He sent me a really funny card, and enough money that I was able to snap this little item right up. I'm doing quite a happy dance today (doubly so, since that's my second favorite character from the Idol Master line.)

Went around a lot of yard sales with my mom this morning. Made off with about eight MLP figures- including a rare G2 that was released in Europe. \o/

Guys, I have some of the greatest friends one could wish! I was doing dishes and spending a leisure sunday evening all by my lonesome, not expecting any company, when my phone rings. The following ensued (translated for your convenience):
Hexr:"Yeah?"
Meta:"How many cheeseburgers do you want?"
Hexr:"Hm. Three?"
Meta:"Great! We'll be there in half an hour!"
I like company, especially when they are accompanied with cheezburgers!

This "happy thing" is rooted in sheer vanity, but anyway: I GOT CARDED YESTERDAY! :D

Kinda nice, especially after a lousy week and a lot of negative feelings about my appearance.

Awww. Makes me think of an old ad campaign. "Card them anyway. You could make someone's day." Glad that makes you feel better! XD

Go you! \o/

@Zano: I tease older customers all the time when they by tobacco (we don't have an alcohol license). I always ask them if they're suuuuuure they're old enough to buy the product, and then tell them that 'I'll take their word for it this time'. And once my (teenage) coworker did it to this one older lady, and she joked that she was going to take him home with her.

@LeBubbles: Har. Sounds like you have some fun with your customers. How did the coworker react to that statement?
Let's see, that old commercial... *hunts on Youtube* Aaaand Youtube just failed me, so I guess I'll just have to describe it.

A woman is getting beer out of the freezer section, and all the clerk (and us, the audience) can see is her figure, and long blonde hair, which prevents from getting a good look at her face. She also gets some cigarettes, and when she gets up to the counter (hair still covering her face enough that she's hard to make out properly), the clerk asks for I.D. She hands it over, and sweeps her hair out of her face so he can compare to the picture. She's probably in her early to mid 30s. He looks at the card, back to her, hands it over and says "I guess you just squeak by here..."(my memory's probably off on this one), which prompts a small smile from her and then the bit about "you could make someone's day." I wish I could remember just who that was paid for by, it would probably help me find it. Augh, the perils of being just a single night's sleep away from 30. The memory, it goes! ;_;

My favorite 'always gets a smile and a giggle' line when carding is "Well, you're young, but not too young. It's all good."
