I went to a bakesale/pancake breakfast at a church this morning. The pancakes were like a small taste of Heaven. <3

Oh, and I got a 5 disc-changer dvd player with surround sound speakers - for $25. And it works quite nicely, they tested it last night. This morning was a good one. ^^
Stand tall and shake the heavens.

Beep beep, I'm a jeep.

Related to this post, I've just found a set that has a Luna *AND* a Spike in it, plus enough cool stuff that I don't care about that I can put it away for my *other* niece's birthday in August. *And*, it's in (limited) stock in Macon! If I can persuade Hearts to go have a day out in Macon with me, I can kill like, 17 birds with one stone! And if I can't, well, my brother works on the base in Warner Robins. If I sweet-talk him and give him the money and a *very* specific description (or better yet image), I could *maybe* persuade him to get it for me.

Things are looking up~

My landscapers have come and gone and they actually did a great job. Removed three troublesome trees (they even filled in the holes without me having to specify that...yeah contractors out here are a real gamble...if they even show up in the first place) and a giant log and jacked up my front step with some nice paving bricks so it actually meets the threshold and I don't feel like I'm falling off a cliff every time I step out my front door.

I almost have a yard/house I'm not ashamed to be seen in now.

In fact I even stayed out in the sun a bit, which is nearly impossible for my kind.

Like a complete animal I had a small snack right away.

So, I've been complaining about working so much this week, but I'm actually okay with it. Because I have 12 hours of overtime for this week now. Which is an extra $144 before taxes. <3
And I'll be working tomorrow, which will set me up to have about ten hours of overtime next week. I will be the richest. >D

My happy thing for the evening.

My wife and I are finally getting some alone time away from everyone in both families for the first time in about four years. Granted, it's only a couple of days. But boy, do we need this break! :)
CEOIII: I can't comprehend the idea that having sex with a willing partner is something to feel guilty about because afterwards that person ran like they just woke up with 3 dead coeds in the room.

Zanosuke Kurosaki... sgtrock wins the thread.

Guys, I have a TAN. Sort of. It's still a little pink in places, but I set my arm against my tummy when I was getting out the shower a few minutes ago and it is definitely TANNED (not the usual 'slighty darker shade of beige' that I normally get when exposed to the sun).

This is the first time in my life I've ever had anything that could legitimately be called a tan. Plus, my freckles are more numerous as well! I have freckles AND a tan! \o/

Oh and also I just read earlier that John De Lancie has confirmed he's got another MLP episode coming up. CAN I GET A WHOOP-WHOOP UP IN HERE GUYS OR WHAT AMIRITE?

I put in my first real application for employment. It's a long shot since i have no prior work experience and no supervisor's recomendations. I am at least lucky enough to have had some of the required training classes and familiarizations to meet the minimum requirements and some of the preferred extras...
Crossing my fingers that this works out, I'd hate to think that a year of college was wasted.

LookingIn : goodluck *hugs*

Otaking : grats! Oooh, Mulberry tree. That's a good source of vitamin blablabla-- no, I mean, that's a good source in case of zombie apocalypse.
Val : GOOD LUCK. GET THAT MONEEEY
sgtrock : awesome, getting some alone time's a precious thing! Hope you'll enjoy your holiday
Bubbles : Tans. <3 they are awesome :D of course, almost everyone here is genetically brown, somewhat (SE Asia), but seeing someone tanned still emits an <3 from me.

For mine;

Finished reading Zone One, by Colton Whitehead. That makes it two books done! (along with GRRM's Clash of Kings).
The book's awesome, although those seeking fast paced actions and meh-- PLOT, should take it with a grain of salt. This is a slice of life novel full of introspection and reminiscing. It's traumatic, somewhat. And a delightful dish.

And have been listening to Final Fantasy soundtracks :D

French elections. The guy I voted for won!
...Not that I'm expecting great things from him, mind you, but I'm really happy to get the other guy out of office.
This was also the first time I voted, so, yay.

Happy thing for the day: I have a vacation day today, just for the purposes of relaxing and getting things done around the flat. I am going for lunch with my BFF, who I haven't seen in ages because our schedules have been conflicting. Also, on the weekend, Kate Beaton drew a big picture of Mr Darcy in my copy of the Hark A Vagrant book.

Congratulations.

I still haven't decided if I want to buy any...If I do, I'll get Twilight, though. She's my favorite.
There was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, and when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad she was homicidal.

I already have Twilight (actually, I ended up with two, and gave the spare to the nieces to play with). I'm trying to get as much of the cast as I can- so far, I lack Spike and Luna (I'm getting them Thursday) of the ones that have been released, Cadance, Shining Armor, and Nightmare Moon of the ones that have been made but haven't been released yet, and Big Macintosh, DisQord, and Chrysalis of the ones that they haven't even made but I really wish they would because Big Macintosh is best pony dammit. (And that's not counting all the non-cast ponies I want for my herd. I also want to get the white Celestia they're releasing later this year, to replace the inaccurate Pinklestia I got last month.)
