I've uploaded a new chapter to my story. I was worried about this one, because it's pretty pivotal to the plot, and there was a vital scene I wanted to be perfect.
Reactions so far? Are really positive. :D

My happy thing for today: I've been able to socialize a bit more with my classmates at the pool. I goofed off with some ladies in the water for awhile, then chatted with a couple fellas who were lounging. I didn't feel nervous or awkward once! :D

Did a thing today which I thought at the time was smart but turned out to be not so smart at all. Still a happy thing because I was lucky and got off easy, just with a lesson learned.

Yeah ok you want specifics I guess. Parked my car in the empty parking lot of a bank after hours for a quick errand nearby. Returned to find an attendant just about to chain off the parking lot. Had I returned a minute later, I would have been in real trouble because I wouldn't have been able to get my car out until next morning.

Hooray! That is so awesome. I'm very happy for you and proud of your bravery. I have a hard time with socializing, too. So that is seriously awesome.

My happy thing for the day: cute new swimsuit arrived in the mail! The first one I've bought in probably eight years. But that's another busty girl problem. Cute swimsuits don't offer much by way of upward support, do they?

It's sort of a science-fiction/urban fantasy story inspired by the "magical girl" anime genre. Sorta "Sailor Moon meets Death Note by way of Arthur C. Clark".
It's Saga of Soul (also linked in my sig :P ).

It's better living through chemistry because she got her heavy duty pain meds refilled yesterday but I'll take it.

She's been keeping food down and active, even singing and happy. She did some cleaning and made dinner, and we're even making plans to go out this weekend.

At times like this I'm still shell shocked and just waiting for the other shoe to drop (often we don't make these plans and end up back in the ER) but I'm trying to enjoy what I've got when I've got it.

Slightly funny: my wife told me I look like Van Helsing according to the nurses. Apparently if you want to get commented on by women live in a depressed funk wearing five days worth of stubble and a hat to cover your unwashed hair.

@Otaking : gratz. *hugs* I hope that other shoe won't drop until like, FOREVER; but at least if it does, I hope you're ready in every ways possible.

Well, other than feeling really sick today. . .

I upgraded to Blu Ray recently. Oh, I'm not rushing to replace my DVDs exactly, but I needed a new player, so I thought I would upgrade. I have only replaced one DVD that I own with a Blu Ray disk. . .and it arrived today.

Weirdly...the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I know, for everything I say, I'm weird.
There was a girl who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, and when she was good, she was very, very good, and when she was bad she was homicidal.
I am a lizard woman from the dawn of time, and this is my wife.

My happy thing for today: pizza. Also, Ryan and Colin. Oh boys. NEVER stop being cute, okay? I don't think my heart could take it.

Also, this exchange in my Pol-Sci class earlier.

Classmate: I mean, we're all gonna die someday.
Professor: What?! *mockhorror* I'm not!
Bubbles: I'm with you, I'm shooting for eternity.

and

*while testing how much electro-magnetic waves are being emitted by same classmates phone*
Professor: Set it here, away from the metal... *runs counter over it*
Counter: *goes crazy*
Professor: *begins slowly backing away from the phone*

So, because I got nagged, I had my leg looked at.

Bone bruise. It just took three days to show. Made a hot bath and fell asleep in the tub. Woke up, toweled off, went to bed. Woke up and the swelling was down. Yay.

Plus my sister took pity on my condition and I have an oven-broiled steak and plenty of rice to go with it. So double yay.
