I am super damn glad to hear this.

I am now grinning like the Joker, but minus the mental instability (and murderous impulses and tendencies. and the pasty-white face. Hmm, maybe that's the wrong comparison then...) This weekend is going to be quite awesome, thanks to the awesomeness I can only call "The Otaking." :D

I got a new gameboy game that my mom got me for my birthday. Too bad my idiot brother already stole something that was meant for it from me. DX

A local grocery had this really awesome sale on a lot of meat today. Dad went to Lowe's and bought one of those laying-down freezers, then we went to the store. We got a total of 45 items for $176.32. That's an average of $3.98 for each item, and that's only skewed upward because Dad got two pork tenderloins and one set of small steaks.

So now we have like SO MUCH MEAT frozen that I probably won't need to buy meat for a year. (I don't eat very much meat to begin with, but Morgan needs a lot more meat in his diet, so this is a very good thing. All the cheap food that he'll eat is very carb-heavy, and diabetics and carbs don't get along too well.)

My friend gave me a book I've been wanting for a while - she bought it and found it's not quite up her alley, so passed it on to me. :D

Today I reorganized my room. By which I mean I moved the bed, my computer desk, and one of my bookcases. It looks pretty nice, and I feel good that I did it all myself (still in not horrible shape at least :P )

Bonus points: I didn't have to move a single one of the figurines from the top of my desk before I moved it. That was pretty cool. 8)

What makes that story extra-awesome is that afterwards, Sainsbury's actually renamed it to "giraffe bread". That little girl must be so pleased.

Oh hell yes. I have been hoping for an Ivan-centric Vorkosigan novel for YEARS now.

I know that wasn't what they were doing it for, but that is the single greatest piece of marketing I have ever heard. Unless they do something really stupid, they've pretty much guaranteed that she's going to be a Sainsbury's customer for life. Because she is always going to remember that she wrote a silly little letter to Sainsbury's, and they took the time to send a personal reply.

A few happy things today, I would prefer they happen on separate days but I shouldn't complain :) .

- Bubble wrap at the bottom of a box of strawberries.

- Since I have been adding to my wardrobe, today was the first time I could wear only women's clothes while visiting the therapist who will decide whether I get hormones etc. She said I looked good. Three times. Also, her attitude has recently changed from "O RLY?" to "your life is a mess, let's not hurry".

- Um... Should I post this here? ... I guess I'll whisper. A very close friend touched my rear by accident (or "accident"?) the previous time I saw her. That time I jokingly told her "you can do that, but you have to ask nicely first". Today it most definitely wasn't an accident and also not a joke referring to the previous time. She didn't ask, by the way. She claims to be straight though, and has rejected me in the past, so I have no idea where this is going... Also, if she weren't at the top of my mental list of people who have proven to be trustworthy I'd be annoyed rather than happy. And soon there will be the fun of telling her off for not asking
