Incidentally I passed the certification test, and still get occasional congratulations at work, which seems weird since it's mostly from people that either have it already or will have to.

Game developer Barbie.

Looks great. Kinda wish the hair was pink, too. But it's wonderful, and I'm glad the lap-top is lap-top grey.

I went to the bank to apply for a loan today. I should know in a few days if I'm approved.

Grandma seems well enough. My parents had prepared me last night, telling me that dementia has really set in recently. After some others were leaving after church, she asked dad how long she'd been gone. I was guessing it meant gone as in dementia stuff and could tell there was a change. I could see her hands were all bruised and stuff, and I think it went up her arm. Yeah, I think she seems mostly normal, but she's not eating much and I can understand how the thinking is she won't be around much longer.

So, um, this all started with me and some far away friends ending up in group flirting with still more people. I was under the impression that two of them, K and J, got together because of that and were continuing to go very far in flirting, including with L at some point. Then this happened (much shortened version) -

Me: K, help! I’m falling in love more and more with L. What do I DO?
K: Always go for love in the present, even when you don’t see the future yet.

Me: L, I have a very strong romantic thing for you, which could become a thing with you instead if you like. I don’t know how that would work, but we could figure it out with time.
L: I would love to try that, but I need to ask K and J if they’re comfortable with that first, because I’m in a relationship with them.
Me: That’s perfectly alright. It probably helps that I’m into both of them. And K encouraged me a bit.

((Whaaaat? Did I just win the lottery?))

Me: J, I made a slight mistake because I misunderstood something, I told L about my romantic interest in them without talking with you first.
J: I couldn’t care less what you guys do romantically, because I’m aromantic. ((note: this wasn't quite true, they think it's very cute and keep saying so)) It’s all fine as long as I don’t get excluded or something. I see all of you kind of like queerplatonic partners.
Me: A QPP is how I’d like to think of you too.
J: *happy noises*

Me: K, what do you figure is going on between us? We have grown a lot closer recently but I’m not sure what to call it.
K: I’m rather fond of you as well.
Me: I love you, and maybe it doesn’t need a more specific label.
K: I love you too, and for me love is just love.

((Jackpot!))

Me: L, have you talked with them yet? I think I already know what they would say, but it’s still important.
L: They’re both okay with it.

So now I have a QPP, a partner, and a datemate, and everyone adores each other, and it’s perfect.

Does this count as a happy thing? I pulled up the forum on a whim and was able to remember my login information.

By which I mean... hi, I guess? This seemed like the most appropriate forum for this kind of post.

I missed you too. I've been thinking about all of you lately and last time I tried to pull up the archive I think I ended up on an archived version and thought it had been shut down. So I was really glad to see that I was wrong!
