It's like an automatic shark jumper as no one wants to read about diaper changes at 3am and care of the baby dominating the otherwise interesting college life. Starting with the fact that Sara and Lisa couldn't be roommates anymore. Or the strip takes a really dark turn as the baby is given up or aborted.

It's obviously Lisa's gender reassignment surgeon at the door for a followup exam.
