Given it's only her second night in the dorms, she might not, or might know but hasn't really had a chance to get into the habit.

Bear in mind that Lisa and Sara have already had this conversation, after Lisa's phone-sex incident- which was earlier that same day. Seriously, Lisa needs to start showing more respect for her roommate. Sara shouldn't have to wake up to the sight of Asscrack McShamewalk with pants at half-mast..

It's still only their second day living together. One talk doesn't mean they're suddenly going to magically be perfect roommates. Also, we don't see her actually arriving, so we've no idea whether Lisa left a sock and Sara didn't notice/knocked it off/ignored it, or if Alice genuinely forgot or didn't think of it.

And Sara is no better, in this situation: remember, she only just remembered that she's supposed to wear underwear to bed now she has a roommate. I'm not saying Lisa should just bring people back without warning, but after just two days? It's understandable if she forgets.

Also ahahaha, Asscrack McShamewalk. *sporfle*

(Emphasis mine.) So, you're saying Lisa and Little Miss Freakout broke the fourth wall for a 3-way? With a married woman, at that?

Eh, people confuse Lisa's name with mine (both ways) so often now I no longer bother correcting it. It's the closest I can ever hope to attaining Lisahood. 8)

brb facepalming forever

In my defense, 1) it is Superbowl Weekend and 2) I work in a grocery store. It has been a very long weekend for this Bubbles and apparently my head no longer wants to brain correctly.

edit: I mean yes, that is exactly what I'm saying.

I don't know about that. I've never met a transperson who was homophobic. If you can accept that the gender in your brain doesn't match the sex of your body, you're probably open enough to accept a nonstandard sexual orientation as well.

It's more likely that this trans woman is upset because she woke up to find her body reacting in ways that do not match her gender identity... as in, she's got morning wood.

Assuming the person on the forum was telling the truth (dangerous, but in this case, I'm inclined to go with the simplest theory), I can say I HAVE encountered a homophobic transwoman. Here's how it worked:

She'd spent her entire life growing up, knowing she was a woman with the wrong body. So she invested heavily into the idea of what 'being a woman' meant, exactly. And in absorbing those lessons (particularly as she was from a very conservative part of the country), she came to the conclusion that "being a woman" meant "wanting to the partner of a man". And since that matched her own inclination, it seemed to make sense.

As a result, she was VERY hostile to anything that blurred gender roles--and homosexuality topped that list, to the point where she insisted that homosexuals were actually undiagnosed gender dysmorphics who would all be happier once they'd gone through transition. It was... kinda sad talking to her, but fairly enlightening in terms of just how badly our society handles these issues....

Mad sympathy, my friend. I made the mistake of going shopping on Saturday for just regular groceries, not even thinking about the fact that I live in Boston and the Pats were about to play in the Super Bowl...I'm glad you survived!

I didn't even know it was Super Bowl Weekend till I got to work Saturday and was all, "Where the fuck did these extra customers come from?!" Though the extra hours ought have been a tip-off...

I completely forgot what weekend it was until I went shopping around noon, and had to go back home because both Wal-marts and the H-E-B were all insanely full. Then MudFlap reminded me what the next day was, and boy did I feel silly for being so puzzled... XD

On the plus side, if you went back during the game itself, those stores would probably have been almost deserted. :)

Actually we were pretty busy right up to closing. I was expecting everything to die down once the game started but we were steady the whole time.

I went back at about 8:15 the same night. While it wasn't nearly as crazy-busy as before, it was still more full than it usually is when 8 pm rolls around. o.O
