[19 Dec 11] Double date!

Well, crap. Someone ships Lisara, it seems...

(And boy, Lucy may have been clueless, but she knew a proposition when she heard one.)

Nah, it's just that Fiona wants people to be straight-up and direct with her. Sara is failing on this front, badly.

Ohhh, poor Sara. D:
As much as her horniness has been annoying me, I don't want her to think of herself as a slut for it.

Oh, and, yeah, I guess it's sad that she's probably not getting any from Fiona tonight. I'm more concerned about the other thing.

Jeez, I really hope Fiona doesn't turn out to be homophobic. I could see Sara showing up for their double date with a girl, and then Fiona either goes heterosexual-crusader-rage or (much better) feels stupid and embarrassed for making the assumption that Sara is straight. God, I hope it's the second one. The first one would be much more interesting, though, admittedly.

I really like how Sara's over-analysis of Fiona's words is shown as red-pen edits.

So, is Sara going to go through with the double date, complete with hidden motivations and wacky hijinks and OH GOD THE COMICAL MISUNDERSTANDINGS? God, I hope so!*

If she is a homophobe - and I suppose it's a possibility - then at least she's not so severely one that even CONTACT with the same gender prompts anything along the liens of "iewww, get away, that's so gay."

Poor Sara. That had to hurt. Maybe Fiona is just the blissfully oblivious sort when it comes to reading someone's interest level?

If Sara accepts, I really hope Fiona doesn't ask Lisa to be her date. 'Nuff said.

Go ask Alice; I think she'll know.

I was expecting the 'Sara hits on her - Fiona misses the point' thing to happen... WASN'T expecting it to be a 'COFFEE IS NEVER COFFEE' moment...

I actually find it kind of funny that Sara seems to have forgotten that girls can hold hands without it being a romantic thing. XD

Which would be why Fiona missed the whole "D'ya wanna come back to my place?" invite meaning more than "hanging out"...

Funny if they both ask Lisa.

I know American women tend to be a lot more touchy-feely and physically comfortable with each other than American men, especially when it comes to holding rather than punching or back-slapping. I don't know if that extends to holding hands while walking; could that plausibly (i.e. with at least moderate probability vs. freak idiosyncracy) be a pure friendly thing in Fiona's mind?

I was thinking much the same thing. If a guy tries to take another guy's hand, and the other guy not only doesn't recoil (or worse) but smiles and reciprocates, that's a pretty clear sign of interest. With girls, not necessarily.

Girls platonically holding hands isn't something I'd associate with college students.

There is still a possibility that the double date is referring to her and Sara going on double date with two other people. I wouldn't rule that out.
