As much as Lisa's usual gift has it advantages, it isn't the best empathy-building path out there.
Ever since she started her "your god terrifies me" argument with Katy-Ann, she continues to show signs that there's a deeper, intimate side waiting to get out for when things can't be catch-phrase simple. The empathy and sober perspective needed to help that side of her grow only comes from walking a mile in Charlie Brown's shoes, which Lisa has gotten out of doing for almost her entire life.
Katy-Ann was a similar case, but she answered the call of the Blockhead by the Bridge Out arc and multiple moments outward, climaxing with her drunken confession to Lisa and Brandi. Lisa made motions towards such, but ultimately got out of it quickly, just like all the times before.
Now there's no way around That Kite-Eating Tree, the Summer Camp Bunk-mate who would only say "Shut up and leave me alone!" to you, or Lucy impishly promising to let you kick a football only to pull it out from under you at the last minute every single time, only through them. Hank, now being concerned about Lisa and the local expert on such things, may be just who she needs now.

No question here, so no answer. :)

A question you want, yes?

Ok. Has Lisa Discovered My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic? If so, what does she think of it?

Of course! The real question is, what will happen when FIM discovers LISA?

Celestia has ears?! Now I'm picturing a ponyfied Ego the Living Planet...

Bringing it back on-topic- what's Lisa's preferred breakfast? Is she likely bust into Sara's Quaker Oats?

If she were feeling better, she'd've already skeletonized it. But Lisa's preferred breakfast is actually a bit better balanced: toast, juice, cereal and something meaty (sausage, bacon, egg). "Gotta start the day right," she'd say.

So, they're too young to remember Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Batman, etc?

Basically, yes. It's not like they didn't catch stuff in reruns, but yes. I don't want to nail down the timeline too much, because, well, it's taken us four months to get through about three-and-a-half days. Even though I'm not planning to go quite that slow all the way through, it'll still be a lot slower than "real time."

You're not allowed to feel old until you remember Davey and Goliath at 7 in the morning.

At some point you are going to have to refer to the name of this college/university/academy/conservatory that the comic is set at. Yes, it's based on W&M, but what is it called in the Q-verse?

I don't remember that one, but I do remember begging my mom and dad to let me stay up late to watch The Flintstones and The Jetsons when they were first running in primetime in the early '60s.

The Flintstones also became the first primetime animated series to last more than two seasons; this record wasn't surpassed by another primetime animated TV series until the third season of The Simpsons in 1992.

Does that count? :)
