I see nothing in nymosy's posts but someone just having a laugh and not meaning to cause anyone harm. The best way to respond to zir posts, if you're unable to simply read them and move on, is to join in the fun, as illustrated by
Shadrach here and by Alice here. If nymosy really were out to OMG ruin the forum 4EVA, zie would've personally attacked Shadrach or Alice in response. Instead, zie responded as they did, in a good-humoured way.

In short, you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. (Note: nymosy is, to the best of my knowledge, not a fly. If zie is in fact a fly, ( a ) my apologies, nymosy; and ( b ) how do you manage to type with those tiny little legs? :D )

Or maybe you can accept that T already made his decision. Like, twice. Read the other posts before trying to start a revolution, maybe?

I'm with Alice and Shadrach, though. A thread-lock might be called for.

Yeah, maybe so, Val. In the meantime, I hope no one objects to my weaksauce attempt to inject a bit of levity into this thread. <_<

OK, I love you two like I love any webcomic fans, but if you're asking a black man to give up chicken, we may have to stop being friends.

Yeahh... Threadlock definitely overdue. Sorry for generating this much excess noise.
CEOIII: I can't comprehend the idea that having sex with a willing partner is something to feel guilty about because afterwards that person ran like they just woke up with 3 dead coeds in the room.

Zanosuke Kurosaki... sgtrock wins the thread.

If you stare at that icon in a dark room and whisper "bloody mary" a dozen times, the ghost of Andy Rooney will appear.

Oh, right...chicken. I wasn't thinking. Sorry we can't accomodate you, then. :D

Heh. We live in a heavily West Indian neighbourhood (one of several in Toronto) and like every other restaurant and convenience store serves this one chain's spicy fried chicken and potato wedges.

Why, yes. It's positively Tolkienesque, in fact.

Hooray!

If I ever have a sword, it's just going to be named Bob.

My rule is, only give something a name if it's going to come when you call it. :)

L'HommeQuiRit wrote:So, T. Here is what you need ask yourself:

Is the forum in place for the sake of nymosy?

Or is in place for the sake of THE MAJORITY of forumgoers?

If you care more about nymosy's right to annoy and cause strife and to possible give people grand mal attack, than you do about what MANY readers have expressed concern, than say so, and we will go elsewhere to discuss the comics.

Who's with me here?

L'Homme, I have always said to the people that can't seem to handle the rules, "There's a whole Internet out there to have the kinds of discussions you like. Fly away, fly free! You just can't come to my house to do it anymore."

And I'm afraid that with your last post in the thread, you've effectively forced me to say it to you. I'm sorry, but I think it's for the best.

I love you guys, I really do. But this is not a democracy.

And even if it were, I've been paying attention, and the people who have trouble with nymosy do seem outnumbered by those who take him/her in stride or find him/her amusing.

If I punished behavior that some of you found annoying, this place would get real quiet real fast.

(And yeah, probably time to lock this thread.)
