We didn't expect Charlotte and Cindi either. :p

But I was envisioning "non-paired ending", not death. Not my fault the Greeks and Shakespeare didn't have a category between marriage and death.

Cyndi. (Either her or she's the one most likely to KILL someone "accidentally" via erotic asphyxiation.)

While I'm pretty sure T appreciates all this discussion about his comic, I myself find it kind of irritating people get THIS philosophical over a webcomic. It's like trying to examine Twilight: what's the point? People enjoy it for what it is, there's no need to get all psychological on us and examine the finer points of what's going on and what's going to happen. Just enjoy it, that's what you're supposed to do.

You try and predict what's going to happen: sit back and enjoy what will happen.

As for a prior comment: I agree, giving us Agenny, the relationship we've wanted since Panel 1, and then taking it away this close to the end, would be the biggest "f--k you" I have ever seen. Just sayin.
Ah yes, the joys of finding your soul mate, ousted only by the joys of having your favorite non-canon fictional couple became canon.

I think the best reply to this sort of "Don't discuss the comic on a comic discussion forum" post was made by bunnyThor some time ago:

Here? No, not here.

Normal people spend 15-30 seconds, three times a week, just reading the strip. And then they go on with their lives.

But about 1% of the readers (that's probably too high) are fixated/enamored enough that they come to the discussion forum and dissect the strip so that they can expose and fondle its minutia. These are the webcomic geeks, and they have studied the strip enough to have strong opinions, and they care enough to express them to the world.

The question before you is: Do you want to become one of them?

I do recall asking T, towards the end of "Missing Person," whether he felt Cyndi might, if she weren't locked up, ever consider moving from encouragement of suicide to direct murder, and he said quite possibly, if she felt sure she could cover her tracks enough.

I'm afraid your analogy falls down for me: I didn't enjoy reading Twilight, but recently found an excellent blog with a series of posts deconstructing the book, and am greatly enjoying said deconstruction. If you want to just enjoy the work, then fine. We're not stopping you. But some of us enjoy it more when we examine it. Just because that's not to your tastes, doesn't mean we should stop.

Looking at the comic again, I'm intrigued by panel five. I don't see disgust there. I don't see, "That can't ever happen again." What I see is confusion and questioning. Aggie states that she doesn't know if she wants this. I think if she had strong feelings about not wanting 'this', she'd know already. She doesn't, thus confusion. IMO she's surprised this is possible. As others have pointed out, she doesn't realize that enjoying rough sex doesn't mean that she has violent tendencies.

Just imagine if she was with Marshall when she figures out that she enjoys the rough stuff…

I was going to say "wait till they discover humiliation play" and then I recalled her recent petname for Penny: "bitch". I'd think that might raise a flag.

You really should try Plus! for a month. T. LIKES this stuff, he doesn't just appreciate it.

Perhaps Aggie is just concerned that the style of seduction is always going to be the same, and they will be stuck in a rut.

lol oops, that was a bit of an unintentional pun
I happen to like Lisa BECAUSE of the way she speaks. If you don't get her, oh well... you are the one missing out.
