Whatever you wanted, Lisa, you got drama now. Sara and Penny look ready to get the nails and the sewage tank right now.

The expression on Sara's face is...beautifully rendered. Well done, Jason!

First panel... EYES OF DOOOOOOOOM...

And Sara's getting in on the righteous(??) indignation too, it seems.

Being absolutely fair, maybe the worst thing Stan has done is dumped two of their closest friends, at least one under false pretenses. And helped Cyndi both times, although once inadvertently.

...

Actually, that's enough of an indictment. What the hell are you thinking, LIsa? Were Bob and Elmer no longer available?

Aaaaand it looks like Lisa's going the direction of "I don't care that you have reasons to dislike the guy, I think you should like him and my opinion is the only one that matters!" (always a brilliant way to bring people over to your point of view!).

Oh, I hope she tries to blame Cyndi and Karen, that will go over magnificently.

Think back to "Suspicious Minds." Despite the stakes not being as high in the present case as they were then, think of the parallels.

One side: Does what she honestly believes is right, even though she knew it would cause friction with friends. Because justice comes before friendship.

Other side: Considers it an act of betrayal. Because friendship comes before justice.

Result: Standoff.

The question is...can Penny, Aggie and Sara now do what Penny did then regarding Aggie, and forgive Lisa even if they don't agree with her?

The answer...coming soon (maybe).

I think Lisa's gonna whip out the "HE'S A CHANGED MAN!" sort of argument. Bonus points if she credits her vagina with changing him, however unlike her to say that is.

Although part of me wants to see Stan next to the sewage tank, with Penny shouting "SMILE YOU SON OF A-" then blasting the tank with the nail gun.
This is the only forum I go to where I don't have a pic for a sig. You can thank me later.

Well, well, well Lisa. What's it like when you're in the hot seat? I seem to recall this event playing out with a different person. The name escapes me, but I'm sure Aggie will forgive you this transgression.

Agreed. I've said it before, and I may or may not have opportunity to say it again before the comic ends, but anger is a good look for Sara.

Oh, Lisa.

I've known people like you. You like the damaged goods. It never ends well.

Believe me when I say you're too good for this crap.

And by "this crap" I mean Stan.

Soooo...

Just for the sake of argument, does anyone care to spell out what exactly it is that Stan did?

Whatever he did with Michelle was apparently tolerable for Brandi's sake. And if I remember correctly, Brandi dumped him.

So why all the Stan hate, really?

Oh, man. I'm not sure which side is the controversial one to take right now, but I think I'm with Lisa. Unforgiving natures drove Helen out of town. People fuck up all the time, but maybe sometimes they should be given the chance to do right. Sometimes.

Anyway, I've always thought that Michelle's always been unfair about the Stan thing. Like NobodySpecial said, he just broke up with her. He didn't cause her issues or do anything Cyndi-like; he just couldn't give her the relationship she wanted. But he definitely did screw over Brandi, and pretty publicly. I understand why they'd be perma-pissed about that.
