You know, I was wondering that myself lately. I remember back at the end of Final Curtain, there was some speculation that Meighan was overhearing Aggie and Darren's conversation and, upon realizing how easily molded Darren was, had concocted a scheme to use him in Hollywood. Of course, now it's much more obvious that it was *Sara* that Meighan was excited about in that scene. So, strangely, I'm curious about his fate as well.

He got an identity eventually, but learned to value himself more for his ability to be a shoulder to lonely souls, without confusing that with a relationship. He's working toward a degree in psychology now.

And now I have an image in my head. Dan Danforth, therapist, arrives for his first day of work. He goes in to meet his first patient. "Hello, I'm Dr. Danforth. Pleased to meet you. I'm looking forward to working with you." "Oh, me too, Doctor. I really think I'm ready to confront my issues. Hee."

Poor Darren. Although if there was someone from Campbell's vast universe to match with Cyndi I'd love it to be Keith Feddyg. I don't know who I'd root for.

Well, I know who'd win.

Welllllll?

Assuming fair conditions, Feddyg's only real chance is if it's a purely physical contest-- like, he's on a rampage and Cyndi just happens to be in the way. If Cyndi has ten quiet minutes to work with, she'll figure him out, and she'll find him briefly fascinating but it won't stop her from protecting herself by setting him up for eventual elimination. Both are capable of the long con, but Cyndi's much better at hiding her true nature, and she's more patient in general. Keith was able to work with people like his first band of minions and Rob Worthington, both of whom really wanted to believe what he was selling, but even with them, he was pretty open about many of his issues. For Cyndi, those issues are like big, glowing buttons that say "Press Here. And Here." Keith just isn't capable of masking himself as long or as well as she is.

This is true as long as they're equally well-informed about the other, whether that means they know everything or nothing about the other. Keith's ego gets in his way more than Cyndi's does. Even if he knew she were a master manipulator, he wouldn't be able to accept she was completely on his level. Which is just one more button.

I like to credit Marlon Brando's "Method Acting" for a lot of this-- literally thinking yourself into a character so that you become Person X, feel the things they feel, think the way they think. Truth be told, I use this Q&A as a sort of additional exercise to make sure my understanding of the characters stays sharp.

Let's just say there was a time or two he got a little too close for comfort and Lisa redirected the conversation elsewhere. She had a sense that it would ruin things between them. A pretty much correct sense.

Fixed it for you. (to reflect the ones that actually -did- nasty things to other people, and *really* "got off too lightly") :P

Ehh, did Samantha do much? She just talked a lot. I think she made that poster, though.
Same for Meg. I don't remember Meg doing much.
Cyndi ended up in a mental institution, so it's not like nothing happened...

As for the others, right on.

Meg and Samantha were highly willing participants in a smear campaign, as well as knowing that Cyndi was doing something to Michelle, and they both did nothing to stop her, they probably didn't even...

In fact, that's my question for T, now that I think of it. If you had an itemized list (that crosses either a moral or legal line) of what Karen and her Injustice Gang did to Penny's group, and then Aggie's group, what would it consist of?

And now that I think of it, I would have to reluctantly include Charlotte in that list, too. She may have thought it was "right", but she probably knew deep-down that it wasn't, no matter what lines Karen fed her. (Brandi's exempted because Brandi, as noted, did indeed serve a little time for her assault on Xena.)

NnnnI'd have to argue with you on Charlotte. She went through a hell of a lot to end up doing what she did, so you sure as hell can't say she got off lightly, even if you feel she's still responsible for those actions.

I don't think she got off *lightly* - but I am pretty sure she never really got into trouble for that video about Sara.

Again, she very clearly went through some bad things to even be able to do that, especially to do the method acting she clearly did.

That's what makes me sad for her - I don't think that was method. I think she was actually drawing on a personal experience with someone, and just slightly modifying things for the video. Unless I'm off on that one, T?
