RETURN OF STRIP MANIP!

Postby Alice Macher » Mon May 30, 2011 1:30 am

Okay, I know T and the webmaster are working on getting as much of the old thread restored as possible, but in the meantime, I just can't wait to foist more manips upon the world.

So let's start with tonight's strip, reimagined as the conclusion of a classic children's fantasy book:

My thoughts in the first batch of new manips:

Putting the "Sapphic" in C.S. Lewis... this pleases me.

A musical number: can't have too many of those.

The Inanimate Object manip takes on a whole new meaning if you imagine the ball speaking in a Darth Vader voice.

Duane: Blue screen of death or no, he is neither "micro" nor "soft."

Such a feast!

I especially appreciate Professor Digory. "Old eccentric British professor" does it for me!

This was one of those manips where I started with the last panel. Lynda's expression, together with the closet setting, made me think of old Digory right off.

These are amazing!!

I'm particularly loving the work that went into the construction of "Bad." Well done, Alice!

The humour in this one's a bit bleak, but hey.

Male Gaze? How about Male Glazed? As in, "my mind has shut down and I can't see anything outside the film strip running on the back lobes of my brain"?
CEOIII: I can't comprehend the idea that having sex with a willing partner is something to feel guilty about because afterwards that person ran like they just woke up with 3 dead coeds in the room.

Zanosuke Kurosaki... sgtrock wins the thread.
