Well, that example is just an indicator of how romantically charged that situation really was.

I also don't GET Penny's insistence on this immediate wardrobe change.

She's wanted to re-dress Aggie since they became friends. Since before they became friends probably. Now she has both a job with a staff discount (which provides a convenient excuse in addition to the financial benefit) and she has the freedom to suggest it due to their slightly upgraded status and due to her no longer trying to keep her interest a secret.

So, it's not so much a "all of the sudden" as a "finally".

Is it wrong that when I look at panel 4, and Aggie saying "I l-like my wardrobe" the first thing that pops into my head is "But, I poop from there!"?

I guess I'm the only one not really digging this scene? Making increasingly transparent innuendos and teasing Aggie about something she's clearly still uncomfortable and anxious about doesn't really strike me as the "cute" kind of mean.

Yeah, Penny's going too far and she hasn't realized it yet. Hopefully Aggie will sort her out instead of just saying, "We're done" or going submissive.

Penny found a button that works real well.

She should be careful with that last bit, but I think she honestly wants to push Aggie into being a little more daring, but still have Aggie choose the style and how far to go. She wants to push Aggie a little, but not nearly as much as Aggie fears. And I very much doubt the result will be anything like how Penny dresses.

Changing room could be fun, though. Penny's new button should work real well there.

For something she'd been unconsciously dealing with for most of the strip, then pushing to the surface-- I know she's teasing Aggie here too, and she's always been self confident-- but this seems like something that would be terrifying along with exhilarating.

The thing that no one has mentioned here is that all Penny is asking for is reciprocity. Aggie asked for unconditional support in regards to her creativity. Penny is asking for the same thing. "I'll trust your expertise in your art form, and in return I want you to trust my expertise in my art form.

It's compromise. It's quid pro quo, Clarice.

Okay, this was... kind of an unexpected development. I think if I were doing an archive binge, this is the kind of strip that would make me back up to see if I'd missed something. I know it did today.

1st panel: Aggie is definitely uncomfortable with the idea of pursuing this relationship further, presumably for the reasons she went over with Lisa. Penny is pretty clearly picking up on this, and... um?

The rest... Penny is definitely picking up on this, but she seems to be using it... to tweak her out? It's almost like her revenge for the way Aggie used to freak her out when she was still in the closet. In fact, that's probably what's making her think she still has an in if she does think so, but if she does, then does she really think pushing like this is going to get her anywhere? Or is she just having some fun? Kind of sadistic if she is...

Also, according to her, she doesn't so much want to redress, but rather umm expand upon Aggie's own style. Whether or not she can do it (or even actually plans to) without trying to Penny-ize Aggie remains to be seen.

Hmmm. I'm not 100% clear on what Penny was trying to say in the first panel with Aggie constantly interrupting. Was it her agreeing to help and support her with the video but thinks Aggie should do something more constructive with her time?

I could see the first bit of innuendo being a little bit of revenge for Aggie not letting her finish. The second was probably just because she found Aggie's reaction to the first just so adorable.
